Ordre de Saint-Lazare, Montréal / Order of Saint Lazarus, Montreal L’Ordre Militaire et Hospitalier de Saint-Lazare de Jérusalem est un ordre de chevalerie chrétien, œcuménique et présent à l’échelle mondiale.

e afin de favoriser l’unité entre les chrétiens, ainsi qu’à la promotion et à la préservation des idéaux de la chevalerie. L’adhésion est ouverte à toute personne chrétienne qui soutient les idéaux de l’Ordre. La Commanderie de Montréal est le chapitre local de l’Ordre de Saint-Lazare. Sa chapelle officielle est l’église Saint-Jean-l’Évangéliste. The Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem is a worldwide ecumenical, Christian Order of Chivalry, dedicated to the alleviation of suffering through support for palliative care and the eradication of leprosy, the support of ecumenism to foster unity amongst Christians, and the promotion and preservation of the ideals of chivalry. Membership is open to all Christian persons who support the ideals of the Order. The Montreal Commandery is the local chapter of the Order of Saint Lazarus. Our official Commandery Chapel is the Church of Saint John the Evangelist.

The Church of Saint John the Evangelist, completed in 1878, is the designated ‘home church’ of the Montreal Commandery.
Its beautiful interior has been the setting for many of the Order’s ceremonies.
