Met Youth Montreal JPC Evangelismos is a Greek Orthodox young adults group which falls under the umbrella of Met Youth Canada

Met Youth Montreal is a non-profit young adults group which falls under the umbrella of Met Youth Canada. Together with our parish priests, we engage youth participation to help do charity work, events,which are beneficial to our community. As well we do reading to learn about our religion and faith.

As you all may know by now, COVID-19 (coronavirus) has been declared a global pandemic. The best thing we could do to stop the spread of this virus is follow what health officials and the Canadian government are telling us to do.

That being said, all non-essential meetings and events that would have been hosted by any of our youth groups are cancelled until further notice. All our youth groups have been notified and instructed to cancel all weekly gatherings, or any planned regional assemblies

We urge everyone to read the following encyclical from His Eminence Archbishop Sotirios and proceed accordingly.

Everyone must stay safe and limit unnecessary public interaction. And most of all continue to pray for quick global recovery and strong faith in these trying times!

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of father Andreas Desipris, Archimandrite, who passed away peacefully yesterday.
He will be greatly missed by family, his so loved parishioners and the entire South Shore Greek Community whom with his presence touched each and every one of us individually.
May he rest in peace, may we live his years and may we have his blessing. Eternal is his memory and God rest his soul. Till we meet again.🙏🏻

Last week we had a great time in Beautiful British Columbia at the National Youth Assembly 2019: One Body, One Soul.
We are so proud that our youth was able to fully fund the trip for 16 delegates from Evangelismos tis Theotokou church in Montreal!
