For You Mum On Mother's Day
I want to tell you, Mum
That you're special to the Lord,
And you are valued in His eyes,
For no one loves you more
And Mum, I want you to know
How blessed you really are,
For I know that it was never easy,
Those past years were quite hard
But even through the years gone by,
I believe that God was there,
Reaching out with loving arms,
Though we were unaware
And He is still beside you
Longing to be a part
Of all the things that interest you,
For you're special in His heart
For even in the daily struggles
That seems to be part of life,
The Lord longs to be involved
And fill the void inside
So Mum, on this Mother's day,
I just want you to know
That you were always appreciated
And that Jesus loves you so.

KIDZZ for KIDZZ – GOATS
PROJECT:
Dear St. Brendan’s Parishioners, my
name is Tedario. I am a parishioner at St.
Brendan’s Parish and a secondary 4
student at Vincent Massey Collegiate.
For over seven years now, I have been
blessed with the opportunity to participate in many life-changing and inspiring
events. These events have inspired me to
volunteer and give back to my
community by performing local and
global actions of kindness, service and
charity. My actions in part aid the WE
group, a non-profit organization that
provides mobile medical clinics and
builds schools, for developing
communities in parts of Ecuador, China,
Africa and Kenya, so children can grow
up healthy and educated. They also build
water wells next to schools so young girls
can attend school without missing classes
in order to collect water for their family.
Five years ago, I took on the challenge of
raising awareness and funds for the
needy in Rural China and Ecuador, and
started my community service project,
Kidzz for Kidzz, with a goal of sending
goats to families in need. For every $50
raised, a goat will be donated to a needy
family, providing them up to 16 cups of
nutritious fresh milk per day. This is a
lifetime opportunity for the families as a
goat will also provide a small business
opportunity for families. Mothers will
receive entrepreneurial training and
financial education needed to make their
gift of a goat flourish into sustainable
income so they can send their children to
school. Once again, this year, I ask you,
the St. Brendan’s community, for your
support. For the last four years, this
community has been incredibly kind and
encouraging of my stewardship, thus
allowing for 130 goats to be sent to those
in need. My goal this year is to raise
funds for 40 goats and aid in the building
of one water well. I have organized a
pizza day and have been setting aside part
of my allowance to be put towards this
cause. Together, we can make a positive
change in a family’s life. Thank you all
for your support over the years, and I
extend my gratitude in advance for your
continued efforts. Fr. Paul has allowed
the May Special Collection to be used for
this endeavor. We connect with
kindness, Tedario
