Hello Croatian Catholic Youth & Young Adults of Montreal!

LET'S WATCH TOGETHER 'Forgiven: The Transforming Power of Confession'
Episode 3 - 'Embraced in Mercy: The Rite Explained'

I came across an excellent study program (3 episodes) that explores the grace and healing offered in Confession and shows how this sacrament of mercy reveals the depth and bounty of God's love. By looking at God's revelation of his mercy in Scripture and making a step-by-step examination of the Rite itself, 'Forgiven' communicates God's invitation to each one of us to come experience his indescribable love in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Each episode takes about 30 minutes.

We will be showing the 3rd episode via Zoom today (April 3rd) at 8 p.m. This study program is suitable for adults and young people who speak English.

Episode 3 - 'Embraced in Mercy: The Rite Explained'
Whether you go to Confession regularly or a decade ago, this session guides you step-by-step through the deeper meaning of every aspect of the Rite—what it is, why we do it, and how it impacts your life.

Hello Croatian Catholic Youth & Young Adults of Montreal!

LET'S WATCH TOGETHER 'FREE BURMA RANGERS'

I came across an excellent inspirational documentary I would like to share with you. It is called 'Free Burma Rangers'. It was released in 2020. Runtime is 96 minutes.

We will show it via Zoom today (November 28th) at 7 p.m. Because of depictions of war related violence it is not suitable for those under 16.

'Free Burma Rangers' is a gut-wrenching documentary about an American family, the Eubanks, who serve as missionaries in the face of foreign civil wars. The Eubanks tell their story starting from the 1990s in Burma to the present day, where they are currently serving in Syria. Aided by his wife and three children, Dave Eubank uses his prior military experience to help those in need in Burma and Iraq. Through their efforts, the Eubank family shares the love of Jesus.

'Free Burma Rangers' is an extremely well-made. The interviews are beautifully woven together with onscreen action and heartfelt memories.

'Free Burma Rangers' has a strong Christian, biblical worldview. Dave Eubank highlights how the Lord has worked within his missionary group to bring glory to His name. Dave also doesn’t shy away from confessing his anger and desire for vengeance at the injustice around him. However, God convicts him that vengeance is God’s to dish out. 'Free Burma Rangers' also contains instances of depicted prayer, kindness and service to those in need.

Episode 8 - "I Am He"
In Canaan, 1952 BC, Jacob and his sons dig a well in Shechem. In Sychar, 26 AD, Photina, a suffering Samaritan woman, fetches water from Jacob's Well. At Matthew's house in Capernaum, Jesus answers questions from the Pharisees, including Yussif, with the words of Hosea. Shmuel petitions Nicodemus concerning false prophecy. Jesus goes to Simon's house and heals his mother-in-law. Learning Matthew left, Quintus issues a decree against religious gatherings outside synagogues. As Jesus and his students complete their preparations to depart Capernaum, Nicodemus leaves money for them. Gaius bequeaths Matthew's wealth to Matthew's father, Alphaeus.
On the road, Jesus decides to go through Samaria, much to the shock of the disciples, especially Big James and John. When they arrive in Sychar, the disciples go to town to buy food while Jesus stays at Jacob's Well, where he meets Photina, asking her for water. Jesus offers her "living water", expresses true worship, and announces that he is the Messiah. After hearing Jesus telling her everything she did, Photina believes Jesus is the Christ and tells everyone about him. The disciples return and Jesus publicly launches his ministry.
