Ammanuel Montreal Evangelical Church (AMEC) is a community church dedicated to spreading the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and to presenting bible lessons that are useful to one's spiritual growth. With the support of Evangel Pentecostal Church, the Ethiopian Christian Fellowship was established. The number of members grew gradually through various reach-out efforts as well as due to the increas
ed population of Ethiopian and Eritrean communities in the city. The name of the fellowship was eventually changed to Ammanuel Montreal Evangelical Church in order to reflect its inclusive vision of reaching out other nationalities. AMEC’s mission is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and to maintain a spiritually healthy community of believers. The first in the list of its goals is to reach-out and serve its primary communities, which are the Ethiopian and Eritrean communities in Montreal.
