What are you known for? This powerful question cuts to the heart of our lives as Christians.
In the first sermon of our new series, we see that the church in Thessalonica had a reputation that spread far and wide; not because they were perfect, but because their faith was visible, their love was tangible, and their hope in Christ made their afflictions bearable.
Today, we're challenged to examine our own lives: Is our faith observable? Does our love for God translate into sacrificial service? When hardship comes, can others see our hope anchored in Christ's return?
The Thessalonians didn't live isolated Christian lives, they laboured together, endured together, and proclaimed the gospel together. Their transformation was so evident that Paul thanked God constantly for their work of faith, labor of love, and steadfastness of hope (1 Thessalonians 1:3).
What will those closest to you (your family, coworkers, and church) say about your walk with Christ? May we be known as people who bear His name faithfully, living in light of eternity until He returns.
