WISDA

WISDA Church is not a building, but a community of believers that live out the gospel in words and action.

WISDA strives to share the beauty of the love of Jesus in its surroundings. We are Seventh-day Adventist Community on the West-Island of Montreal. The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a mainstream Protestant church with approximately 19 million members worldwide, including more than one million members in North America. The Seventh-day Adventist Church seeks to enhance quality of life for people ev

erywhere and to let people know that Jesus is coming again soon. Adventists believe a Trinity of three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—make up one God. They made salvation possible when Jesus, the Son, came to earth as a baby in Bethlehem and lived a sinless life in accordance with the Father's will. When Jesus was crucified for the sins of the people of the world and arose from the dead on the third day, victory was won for everyone. When He returned to heaven following the resurrection, Jesus left the Holy Spirit to serve as our Comforter and Counselor. He promised to return to earth a second time to complete His plan of salvation and take His people to heaven. Adventists are among the believers who look forward to that day. Adventists believe that God is concerned with the quality of human life, and that everything—the way we live, eat, speak, think, treat each other, and care for the world around us—is part of His plan. Our families, our children, our jobs, our talents, our money, and our time are all important to Him.

The WISDA Women's Ministries yearly retreat had its debut in 2020, Ottawa and is onto its 6th year in 2026. Each year is a new chapter, with non WISDA members joining us for this women's brand experience. The Smith Falls SDA Pastor was presented with a memorial framed photo of the group, a relation started in 2025. This retreat is so anticipated that registration fills a week after it opens. Indeed, the experience never disappoints! You come once, and don't want to miss another.

WISDA Community Services Department had the privilege to provide snack time at a neighboring hospice on Sabbath afternoon 16 May, 2026. The residents were amiable, engaging and gave us a very pleasant experience. Pastor Taylor came out to support and indeed we were all the better off for the happiness the visit brought to both us and the residents. Yes, Sabbath afternoons to be spent in ministry as we look forward to our next meal time.

WISDA's women served by yes, you guessed it. The men wished our women a happy Mother's Day by serving their meal with pleasure and style. Thank you to all the men among us.

They waited, and received. We were able to encourage them in God's love. They listened,
appreciated, and will wait until we come again. Next time, we hope to provide hot meals instead of the usual cold lunch packs. Let's support this homeless ministry through WISDA's Deacons and Deaconess department. The church must be felt in the community, otherwise it is just a club.

Hopping up to give a prayer of 'true commitment' after a stirring and engaging sermon. Thank you Pastor Anthony and Zenobia Taylor!

The second face of WISDA, the powerful and dynamic Pastor Anthony's wife and First Lady of WISDA, Sister Zenobia Taylor addressing WISDA's youth on Youth Day with a serious call to rise to the high calling of decorum and commitment. So, at WISDA we will have to coin the phrase, behind every effective preacher wife is a grounded Pastor.
