The OCA Orthodox Church in Quebec,
a social masquerade or an exploitation of the community !
Quebec Orthodox Community in OCA. Facts from 2017 to 2021
As free and independent citizen journalists, we have received the sad and disappointing facts described below that occurred within the Orthodox community of OCA in Quebec. These facts show the malicious and irresponsible attitudes of a so-called bishop I.R. who is only by the title but who is very far from it by his facts and gestures as you will see later.
The so-called bishop I.R. without any charisma and very easily manipulated, was still a priest a dozen years ago and it seems that he only had two vestments and liked to repeat it often and one fine day a new bishop of Canada had to be elected.
Of course I.R. did everything to run for the position very quickly and pushing his beloved colleagues and competitors as he is used to (ref. St. Benedict of Nursia parish and its original founder), he finally got lucky and indeed ended up getting elected. And the priest who became a bishop now takes pleasure in collecting garment after garment, from the most beautiful to the most lavish, (false humility having finally surfaced).
A so-called D.C. priest coming from the Middle East, very good manipulator, decided one day to whisper in the ear of this so-called bishop I.R. and convinced him to become a priest within OCA.
Without any examination, without any verification of his diplomas and of his theoretical and practical knowledge, the pseudo bishop I.R., as naive as he can be at times and when he wants, accepts him within the OCA diocese and moreover allows him to found a new francophone mission.
The pseudo priest D.C. ended up being surrounded by about twenty people, most of them of good faith and willing to help him at all levels, which was done with a lot of work by each and everyone according to their abilities and the time they could spare, as is done in all parishes.
Finally, the pseudo priest D.C. did not bother in any way and it is thanks to a Greek priest that a place was found in Laval. What interested the pseudo priest D.C. was especially the money and how to get paid at the end of each liturgy if he knew how to do it! Unfortunately this pseudo priest D.C. coming from an evangelical community, knew neither the fathers of the church, nor the confession, did not even know how to celebrate neither vespers, nor matins, nor liturgies, his homilies always empty of sense hardly satisfied the small primary school children of the parish, but He finally had well the head of this so-called bishop I.R...... who unfortunately was well rolled in the flour.....
Some notorious facts about the pseudo priest D.C.
1) The pseudo priest D.C. has never demonstrated his studies and/or his competence in orthodox theology. The pseudo bishop I.R. has let this happen or has failed in his duty to verify the most elementary facts.
2) During his homilies (if we can call them that), they are never related to the Gospel or the ep*stle of the day.
3) To our great surprise, the pseudo priest D.C. demonstrated disrespectful attitudes, (never heeding the essential advice given to him by one of the most experienced and theologically educated fathers of the community, (his elder by about twenty years, a higoumene, having studied theology at the honorable St. Sergius Institute in Paris and having served with Father Sophrony of Essex, now canonized by Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople).
This venerable father had been invited by the small community to assist the pseudo priest D.C. in liturgical matters and in typikon (liturgical rules and practices).
4) The pseudo priest D.C. never practices confession as the Orthodox faith requires before communion.
5) The community discovered and found out later that the pseudo priest D.C. was incapable of practicing the confession being himself a troubled and unstable man who is not at peace with himself,
living many personal, family and business worries, (owner of two small buildings with funds collected from his parish in the Middle East before arriving in Canada).
6) The pseudo priest D.C. is rarely mentally present when addressed.
7) The pseudo priest D.C. asks or pretends to ask for the advice of his parish council but does not act in the way agreed upon.
😎 The pseudo priest D.C. never asks about his parishioners who have been absent for a while or those who do not take communion for a long time.
9) During the preparation of the patronal feast of the mission, the pseudo priest D.C. suddenly cancelled the vespers of Saturday evening, which mark the beginning of the celebrations of any commemoration of a saint in the Orthodox tradition.
10) The following Sunday of the commemoration of the patron saint of the mission, the pseudo priest D.C. finds a way to arrive 10 minutes before the time of the beginning of the celebration, without any spiritual preparation, without any mental concentration, without any apology.
11) During the general assembly, the documents and subjects presented by the pseudo priest D.C. were read in the wrong order, it goes without saying that the parishioners understood absolutely nothing, it was necessary to translate and interpret...
12) During the celebrations, the pseudo priest D.C. finds a way to suddenly interrupt the divine liturgy to announce a news or an information. Very surprising, we are far from the absorption by the texts of Saint John Chrysostom.
13) During the major feasts, such as Christmas or Easter, the reading of the Old Testament texts or others that make the difference between a common liturgy and the major celebration are questioned... the pseudo priest D.C. criticizes the length and the number...
14) At the end of the divine liturgy, the pseudo priest D.C., allows himself to consume the holy gifts after having had lunch and quietly taken his coffee, despite the presence of other fathers who could have done so in his place.
15) We see once again that the pseudo priest D.C. is not mentally present and is really preoccupied.
16) During the celebration of the 1st of the year, (liturgy of St. Basil the Great), the pseudo priest D.C. standing in front of the altar had a hard time finding the text of St. Basil to finally come back to that of St. John Chrysostom...
17) We note the degree of preparation or interest that the pseudo priest D.C. has for the liturgical offices....
18) We ask ourselves seriously ....but why did he want to found a mission... if the liturgical life, the life of prayer and the pastoral life are not present...
19) The pseudo priest D.C. ended up exasperating the assistant father who that day quickly went home, tired of the indifference of the pseudo priest D.C. to listening and learning.
20) What matters to the pseudo priest D.C. is strictly his family, money but no interest to his parishioners, no gift for studies either.
21) The pseudo priest D.C. asks to organize a meeting with the assistant father to finally settle the few irritants between the two parties; the assistant father accepts and we set a date for the meeting.
22) The pseudo priest D.C. does not show up and this without notice or apology. It takes guts to do that!
23) The pseudo priest D.C. finds a way to take two weeks of vacation in Florida during the beginning of the great Lent of Easter....never seen in the tradition of the orthodox clergy. The great Lent being a period of prayer, of retrospection on oneself, of reading texts from the Old Testament, of becoming aware of our fallen state, of lamentations etc...
24) Upon his return from Florida, we were at the beginning of the period of confinement, the pseudo priest D.C. calls for a so-called emergency meeting of the parish committee and omits another member of the parish committee, the pseudo priest D.C. is selective.
25) We end up talking by teleconference and the pseudo priest D.C. asks one of the persons in charge to bring back the keys since our hosts did not want to have any more visits in their place. We give him of course our agreement.
26) The next day, while going to give him the keys, accompanied by a member of the parish committee, we stop at the mission to recover some personal effects and to our great surprise, we notice that the locks had already been replaced without any notice and without discussing it with his parish committee.
27) We also note that the pseudo priest D.C. has appropriated the sacred vessels as well as the antimansion, (sacred iconographic canvas, blessed and signed by a bishop, generally containing the relics of a saint).
28) The pseudo priest D.C. is only interested in his family; by appropriating the sacred vessels and the antimansion, he wanted to celebrate at home with his family, to make his family take communion and so much the worse for the others .... never seen in the orthodox tradition.
29) Later that year, the Holy Synod of OCA (Orthodox Church in America) issued a notice to all clergy forbidding them to celebrate liturgies in their homes or at their personal residences.
30) Since Easter of this year no news from the pseudo priest D.C. to propose a date to recover the personal effects of some; he left with real icons hand painted with gold leaves offered by a friend of the
mission. The clothes lent by the assistant father were lost or found incomplete with missing cuffs or lost covers etc...
Thus some families and the assistant father found themselves for a while, as one would say metaphorically, "in exile" without a parish to practice their faith.
Do you think that these families or that this very educated assistant priest were contacted by the pseudo bishop I.R. to have news of them or to thank them for their previous work or to apologize for the serious errors committed by the latter! Certainly not, because one is a bishop in name only...
We remind the readers that Mr. the pseudo bishop I.R. had been contacted several times by members of the parish to come and see for himself the situation on the spot and to note the anomalies for which the parishioners were complaining so that eventually redirect the helm, advise, listen to the parishioners, listen at least to the more experienced priest who had interesting things to say ... but no, the pseudo bishop I.R. preferred to remain quietly at home and not to bother.
For literally destroying the St Dimitri mission of Laval, the pseudo bishop I.R. went as far as to reward the pseudo priest D.C. and guess how! A few months later, he made him "Archipriest" ..... and yes, he did it !! Mr. fake Bishop what a fine example you are giving to the new generation of priests who are quietly arriving. You really deserve the medal of imbecility and the most vile corruption. Mr. pseudo bishop, I.R. you are the laughing stock of many.
You have wasted the time and efforts of so many people who were only looking for a simple environment, conducive to prayer and peace. By your negligence, your irresponsibility and your flagrant lack of ability to solve problems you have created more troubles and the destruction of a mission that could have very well developed and flourished in the general interest of a multitude of parishioners who would have appreciated you otherwise.
But the only one and the main responsible of this scandalous behavior is Mr. the pseudo bishop I.R. useless, full of pride and so cynical.
Who (I.R.) only responds to those who bring him $$... to form a small clan, a club of friends receiving privileges and other rewards, becoming priests or deacons at random, an almost hermetic club incensing Mr. Bishop I.R. permanently and who appreciates enormously ...
Can one allow oneself to be manipulated to such an extent by a simple stupid man!!! or has Mr. D.C. bought you and at what price!! so that you close your eyes to his dark past of his parish where he would have collected the funds donated by the poor parishioners who were cheated ....
Pseudo bishop I.R. you had better resign immediately because people are beginning to know now your true face of opportunist, useless and your role of divider instead of unifier ....Shame on you I.R. ...
