On April 6th at 4pm we will be joined by the choir of the Royal Hospital School of Holbrook, England, and their Director of Music, Ed Allen, who will lead us in our worship in the Evensong service that afternoon. Founded in 1712, the Royal Hospital School has maintained a strong musical tradition witha nationally-recognized chapel choir at its core. The choir will sing Peter Hurford's Litany to the Holy Spirit, Herbert Sumsion's Magnificat and Nunc dimittis in G, and Malcolm Archer's Anthem for Seafarers, an anthem based on hymn which reflects the school's history as a naval academy. Following the service, and weather permitting, the school band will also present a brief performance outside of the church.
