A bicycle was stolen this morning from the Moncton Masjid parking lot.

Police have been notified, and the relevant security footage has been provided to them.

If anyone has information that may help, please contact the police or mosque administration.

On this blessed Friday night, we ask Allah to forgive our sins, ease our difficulties, heal the sick, have mercy on those who have passed away, and protect our families, children, and community.

O Allah, grant us peace in our hearts, blessings in our lives and provision, and acceptance of our prayers. Bring relief to every hardship, ease to every difficulty, and healing from every trial.

O Allah, unite our hearts, protect our community, spread love, peace, and mercy among us, and bless the city of Moncton and all its people.

May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

The Moncton Muslim Association is deeply saddened and disturbed by the suspected arson incident at the home of Member of Parliament Salma Zahid, in which vehicles outside her residence were set on fire.

We strongly condemn all acts of violence, intimidation, and threats against individuals, families, and public officials. Such incidents have no place in Canada and undermine the safety, peace, and mutual respect that we must continue to protect in our communities.

We are grateful and relieved that MP Salma Zahid, her family, and those around them are safe. We stand in solidarity with her and her family during this difficult time and thank the emergency services and neighbours who responded quickly.

We trust that the authorities will conduct a thorough investigation and that those responsible will be held accountable.

May Allah protect MP Salma Zahid and her family, and may we continue working together toward a Canada where everyone can live and serve their community without fear, hatred, or intimidation.

❤️ OPEN MOSQUE • OPEN HEART ❤️
Building Bridges • Interfaith Dialogue • Understanding One Another

Insha’Allah, we are excited to bring back our Open Mosque, Open Heart initiative at the Moncton Masjid, something we were happy to host in the past.

The purpose is simple: open our doors, open our hearts, and create opportunities for people to meet, learn, ask questions, and get to know their Muslim neighbours.

Visitors will have the opportunity to tour the mosque, meet members of our community, learn about Islam, ask questions in a welcoming environment, receive educational materials and a free copy of the Qur’an, and most importantly, connect with one another.

We hope to organize several events throughout the year and, Insha’Allah, eventually make this a monthly initiative.

Looking ahead, we also hope to collaborate with other mosques and community partners to grow this initiative and create more opportunities for interfaith engagement, meaningful dialogue, education, and mutual understanding.

We believe that when people meet face-to-face, share conversations, and learn about one another, we strengthen trust and build bridges across our communities.

Highlights from Our Summer Camp!

Alhamdulillah, we are happy to share some wonderful highlights from the Moncton Muslim Association Summer Camp!

A heartfelt Jazakum Allahu Khairan to our dedicated volunteers, our Imam, and all the parents for their support and for helping make this camp a memorable experience for our children.

We hope everyone enjoyed the activities, learning, friendship, and beautiful moments together.

Alhamdulillah, a wonderful milestone for our Muslim communities across Atlantic Canada! 🌙
We are pleased to share that our brothers and sisters in Nova Scotia, through the Atlantic Canada Islamic Finance Board (ACIFB), have completed the Islamic Last Will & Testament for all four Atlantic provinces: Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador.
Each document has been reviewed and approved by ACIFB’s Sharia Supervisory Committee to ensure alignment with Islamic principles while taking into consideration the legal requirements of each province.
May Allah accept this valuable effort, reward everyone who contributed, and make it a lasting benefit for Muslim families throughout Atlantic Canada. Ameen.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

Alhamdulillah, last Jumu’ah was once again filled to capacity, a beautiful reminder of Allah’s countless blessings upon our community. It is truly heartwarming to witness our mosque growing week after week, bringing together brothers and sisters in worship, unity, and peace.

We are grateful to Allah سبحانه وتعالى for allowing our masjid to remain full and vibrant. We make duaa that He continues to bless our community with safety, unity, and strong bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood. May Allah make us a source of goodness, harmony, and positive contribution to Moncton and to this beautiful country.

O Allah, protect our community, strengthen our hearts upon faith, increase love and understanding among us, and keep our mosque a place of peace, guidance, and mercy. Ameen.

Today, I had the privilege of joining Thierno Diallo, Atlantic Regional Director of the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM), for a series of constructive meetings with local and provincial leaders.

As President of the Moncton Muslim Association, I was pleased to meet with Moncton Mayor Shawn Crossman and Ward 2 City Councillor Kristin Cavoukian to discuss ways to ensure that Muslim Monctonians continue to feel safe, welcomed, and fully included in our community. We appreciated the open and respectful dialogue and the shared commitment to strengthening inclusion, building trust, and fostering meaningful partnerships.

Later in the day, we also met with Alexandre Cédric Doucet, MLA for Moncton East, to continue these important conversations at the provincial level. We are grateful for the opportunity to engage with our elected representatives and look forward to continued collaboration in support of stronger, safer, and more inclusive communities across New Brunswick.

Meaningful dialogue is an important step toward building understanding, strengthening relationships, and creating a community where everyone feels they belong.
