Hillside Kids

10/14/2026

Just a reminder: HillsideKids is hosting a Fall Fair during our morning programs this Sunday! Whether you attend at 9:30, 11:15 or 1:00, children will enjoy games, snacks, and plenty of fun as we celebrate the season together.

Students in The Zone and The Launch will have an extra-special gym time because our friends from ‘Travel to You Zoo’ are coming with their petting zoo animals! 🐰

Our younger children in The Nest will have their own special classroom carnival with games and activities designed just for them, and have the option to visit the zoo animals (in the gym) between services with their parents. No matter their age, every child will enjoy the exciting events we have planned.

This is the PERFECT time to invite a new family to church! Who will YOU invite? We can’t wait to meet them!

This morning our Zone & Launch students heard the BIG REVEAL about our upcoming 🍂 FALL FAIR 🍂 on October 18th!

Invitations were sent home so that you can spread the word and invite new families to check out Hillside that day (which is also Vision Sunday!). We will have special carnival games, crafts, snacks AND a visit from our favourite travelling zoo. Start thinking about who you will invite to join you!

Hey HillsideKids families and friends! We have exciting details to reveal this Sunday about our upcoming 🍂 FALL FAIR 🍁 happening on October 18th as part of Vision Sunday!

We are looking for donations of peanut-free chocolate bars and gummy candy to make this event extra SWEET. If you are able to drop off a box of either of the options pictured below this weekend or next, we would be so grateful!

There will be a donation bin outside The Nest 🪺 doors on Sunday mornings (Oct. 4 & 11), or you can send us a message to arrange a weekday drop off.

Thanks for your support and stay tuned for more Fall Fair info soon!

🐸 VBS Fundraiser update 🐔:

Today we delivered our Rainforest Falls donation to our partners at Beaverbrook School. Our VBS kids & volunteers stepped up in a BIG way to help bless other kids in our city! The “Busy Beavers Building Backpacks” mission raised $3604.00!

We know the back-to-school season comes with extra expenses for families and we are excited that our donation will be put to good use in supporting our friends at Beaverbrook.

Please join us in praying for the entire staff team as they prepare for another school year. Go Beavers! 🦫

This photo is filled with faces that our HillsideKids family has come to know and love... and we can't believe how fast the summer season flew by! Our Summer Students are soon returning to full-time school and we will miss them so very much. 🥲

Our staff team was incredibly blessed to grow by five members this season. This crew led their respective areas of our ministry with confidence, enthusiasm and most of all love for children and their families. We've had SUCH a great season of watching them grow in their faith and their leadership ability - we entrusted them with a lot and they continued to RISE and SHINE to do their part to make Jesus known in our community!

Grace, Gabe, Jacob, Ashlynn and Andrea : THANK YOU.

Families - be sure to stop and express your gratitude when you see them this Sunday at church, or drop us a message below and we'll make sure they receive it! 🧡💙
