The return to school season is upon us and that means that THIS Sunday is "MOVE-UP DAY" for our elementary-aged kids (The Zone & The Launch)!

Starting this weekend, students entering Kindergarten to Grade 5 will check in to their new grade/classroom. An email was sent to all families yesterday - be sure to look for it so that you have all the details!

🐸 VBS Fundraiser update 🐔:

Today we delivered our Rainforest Falls donation to our partners at Beaverbrook School. Our VBS kids & volunteers stepped up in a BIG way to help bless other kids in our city! The “Busy Beavers Building Backpacks” mission raised $3604.00!

We know the back-to-school season comes with extra expenses for families and we are excited that our donation will be put to good use in supporting our friends at Beaverbrook.

Please join us in praying for the entire staff team as they prepare for another school year. Go Beavers! 🦫

This photo is filled with faces that our HillsideKids family has come to know and love... and we can't believe how fast the summer season flew by! Our Summer Students are soon returning to full-time school and we will miss them so very much. 🥲

Our staff team was incredibly blessed to grow by five members this season. This crew led their respective areas of our ministry with confidence, enthusiasm and most of all love for children and their families. We've had SUCH a great season of watching them grow in their faith and their leadership ability - we entrusted them with a lot and they continued to RISE and SHINE to do their part to make Jesus known in our community!

To close off our amazing VBS week we hosted a Jungle Party Family Night. It was a beautiful evening with a high-energy recap of our program for parents to enjoy, a shared meal and lots of bouncy fun. We have such an amazing community and it's great fun when we all come together!

CREW photos are in! 👏

We had so much fun hyping up each crew and helping them feel proud of their team! We had four large Animal Kingdoms (Sneaky Crawlers, Water Splashers, Land Walkers and High Flyers) and within each of those there were 10 crews representing 40 different rainforest/jungle animals! What crew were YOU in? The Chameleons? Box Turtles? Motmot Birds? Capybaras? Red Pandas? 🐸🐯🐦🐛🦋🦈🦦

Special thanks to our 40+ CREW LEADERS and JUNIOR LEADERS for travelling along with our kids all week and making their experience extra special.

Our ANIMAL KINGDOM CAPTAINS were also such a blessing and made sure our crews had everything they needed 💛💙🩷💚

Rainforest VBS has come to a close for another season and we must say - it was an UNFORGETTABLE week! We are SO thankful for the amazing kids and volunteers who made it such a success. We are still smiling!
