God is good! Let us celebrate as a CBAC family the overwhelmingly positive testimony of youth camp from New Minas Baptist Church!

“In the first week of August at New Minas Baptist Church, our youth ministry held an event called Camp Lead for Youth. This was a grade 6-8 event, and almost 25 youth joined us.

Each morning was a mix of two parts. We spent over an hour doing manuscript-style, inductive Bible study about the leadership style of Jesus. We did leadership training around our God-given SHAPE, using that word as an acronym for Spiritual Gifts, Heart (passions), Abilities, Personality, and Experiences (a tool we adapted from Saddleback / Doug Fields).

In the afternoons, we visited Christian ministries and served. We spent one day cooking and baking food and filled the freezer at our church with meals for our meals ministry. Another day we visited and volunteered at our local pregnancy centre, another day we served at the local food bank, and one day we did yard work at Kingswood Camp. We also had fun attending our kids’ Drama Camp end-of-week production, canoeing and swimming!

This was a favourite week of the summer for the youth who attended; it wasn’t a hard camp to plan, and God worked in a beautiful way in these youth who grew as Christian leaders in community!”

Let us lift the Lord’s name in praise from the testimony of Baptism from First Grand Lake Baptist Church in New Brunswick!

“We are with three other seniors who just declared Jesus as their Lord and Saviour by being baptized in Grand Lake, NB. Some of these individuals came to our church through community outreach three years ago and have not missed a worship or Bible study since then! I was amazed at how much these three were glowing after their baptism. Praise the Lord!”
