🥖 Solemnity of Corpus Christi — A Weekend of Eucharistic Grace 🍷

This weekend, our parish joyfully honoured the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, celebrating the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist — the heart of our faith.

After the Saturday anticipated Mass, we were blessed to hold a special procession of the Blessed Sacrament around the block, bringing Christ into our neighbourhood and lifting our prayers for our community.

Though Sunday’s rain kept us indoors, our devotion did not pause. We processed reverently around the church, honouring Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament with the same love, faith, and gratitude.

Corpus Christi reminds us that Jesus walks with us — in our streets, in our parish, and in the quiet places of our hearts. May His Eucharistic presence continue to strengthen and unite us.

“I am with you always.” — Matthew 28:20

🔥 Pentecost at Saint Augustine’s was filled with the fire of the Holy Spirit 🔥

This Pentecost Sunday, our parish was blessed as over 24 teenagers from the Queen of All Saints Pastoral Grouping received the Sacrament of Confirmation — and this year’s celebration was made even more special as it was presided over by our Archbishop, a powerful sign of unity with the wider Church.

🕊️ What Confirmation Does in the Life of a Christian

▪️Strengthens the Gifts of the Holy Spirit — wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord
▪️Seals the soul with a permanent mark of belonging to Christ
▪️Deepens baptismal grace and roots us more firmly in the Church
▪️Sends us on mission to witness Christ boldly in the world

These young people are now fully initiated into the life of the Church — anointed, strengthened, and sent forth in the power of the Spirit.

🙏 A Prayer for Our Newly Confirmed
Come, Holy Spirit. Fill these young disciples with Your fire, Your wisdom, and Your peace.
Guide their steps, strengthen their faith, and keep them close to Christ.
May they be courageous witnesses of the Gospel in their families, schools, and community.

Saint Augustine of Canterbury, Mary, Queen of All Saints, and all holy men and women — pray for them.

🌿✨ Rejoice! First Holy Communion on Mother’s Day ✨🌿

Sunday, May 10 was a day overflowing with grace at Saint Augustine’s Church in Moncton and Saint Lawrence O’Toole in Irishtown, as over 60 children received their First Holy Communion — on the very same day we honoured the gift of motherhood.

What a blessing to witness so many young hearts receiving Jesus in the Eucharist for the first time, surrounded by families, godparents, and a parish community filled with love and pride. The joy in the church was unmistakable — a true celebration of faith, family, and the beauty of growing in Christ.

🕊️ A Prayer for Our Communicants

Lord Jesus,
Bless these children who received You for the first time in the Holy Eucharist.
Fill their hearts with Your peace,
their minds with Your light,
and their lives with a deep and lasting love for Your presence.
Strengthen their families, guide their steps,
and keep them always close to Your Sacred Heart.
Amen.

To all the children, parents, and catechists — we rejoice with you.

May this be the beginning of a lifelong friendship with Christ.
