✝️ Labour Day: Honouring Work, Workers, and Human Dignity

Labour Day invites us to pause and recognize the dignity of work and the people who carry it out. In Catholic social teaching, work is never just about productivity — it is a participation in God’s ongoing creation and a way we serve one another.

The Church reminds us that every worker deserves respect, fair treatment, and conditions that honour their human dignity. As St. John Paul II taught, “Work is for the human person, not the human person for work.”

Today we give thanks for all who labour in our community — in homes, workplaces, and public service — and we pray for those seeking employment, those facing unjust conditions, and those whose work often goes unseen.

May this day renew our commitment to justice, solidarity, and the common good.

On Saturday, September 12, Council 1310 invites one and all to the 42nd edition of the Papal Site Mass at Magnetic Hill.

The Mass will be celebrated by his Grace, Archbishop Desrochers at 11:00. The Mass will be preceded by a bilingual Rosary. After the Mass, barbecued hot dogs and water will be provided, courtesy of Council 1310.

You are invited to bring you own lawn chairs to the Papal Site for your comfort. In the event of rain, the Mass will be moved the Cathedral, with the same schedule. All are welcome to this beautiful event!

✨ Expanded Mass & Adoration Schedule: A Beautiful Blessing for Our Parish ✨

Saint Augustine’s Church is filled with gratitude and joy as we share wonderful news: Our parish family is being blessed with expanded Mass times and daily adoration.

🕊 Expanded Mass Schedule

We are grateful to offer additional opportunities to gather for the Holy Eucharist:

• Monday – 7:00 PM
• Wednesday – 7:00 PM
• Thursday – 7:00 PM
• Sunday – 9:00 AM

These new celebrations join our full weekly schedule of Masses, giving our community more moments to come together in prayer, thanksgiving, and worship.

🙏 Daily Adoration

We are also blessed to introduce on September 21, 2026 daily adoration, Monday to Friday, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Saint Augustine’s Church.

Come rest in the presence of the Lord, adore Him, and bring your heart before Christ in the quiet of the afternoon.

⛪ A Parish Growing in Prayer

We give thanks for the grace that allows our parish to grow in worship and devotion. May these expanded opportunities draw us ever closer to Christ and to one another.
