We are excited to announce that this May 6th-14th, our Living Sacrifice team will be headed to the East Coast of Canada for our ministry trip. The team will have the opportunity to learn from different contexts within The Salvation Army and to serve our communities in the Maritimes.

What do Micah 6:8, Luke 4:18, Isaiah 58:6, and Galatians 5:1 have in common?
They all remind us that God makes us free — and He asks us to help others be free too.

Family activity (optional):
Make a paper chain and write “hard things” in the world on each link (like hunger, poverty, or bullying).
Each day, tear off one link, pray to God to help you grow in that area, and write down one way you can help someone who is having a hard time.

Tous ces versets nous rappellent que Dieu nous rend libres — et qu’Il nous appelle aussi à aider les autres à être libres.

Activité en famille (facultative) :
Fabriquez une chaîne en papier et écrivez sur chaque maillon des choses “pas belles” dans le monde (comme la faim, la pauvreté ou l’intimidation).
Chaque jour, déchirez un maillon, priez Dieu de vous aider à grandir dans ce domaine et écrivez une façon d’aider quelqu’un qui vit une difficulté.

Clay in God’s Hands 🫶
Just like clay is shaped in the potter’s hands, God lovingly shapes us too. We might feel stretched sometimes, but it’s to help us grow stronger and become who He created us to be.
Fun family activity (optional): Make your own clay at home!
Materials you’ll need:
1 bottle of Elmer’s Washable School Glue
1/2 cup cornstarch
2 tbsp baby oil (or vegetable oil)
2 tbsp lemon juice (or white vinegar)

L’argile entre les mains de Dieu 🫶
Tout comme l’argile est façonnée entre les mains du potier, Dieu nous façonne avec amour. Parfois, nous nous sentons étirés, mais c’est pour nous aider à grandir et à devenir la personne qu’Il nous a créée pour être.
Activité amusante en famille (facultative) : fabriquez votre propre argile à la maison
Matériel nécessaire :
1 bouteille de colle scolaire lavable Elmer’s
1/2 tasse de fécule de maïs
2 c. à soupe d’huile pour bébé (ou d’huile végétale)
2 c. à soupe de jus de citron (ou de vinaigre blanc)

Barro en las manos de Dios 🫶
Así como el barro es moldeado en las manos del alfarero, Dios nos moldea con amor. A veces sentimos que nos estira, pero es para ayudarnos a crecer y a ser quienes Él nos creó para ser.
Actividad divertida en familia (opcional): ¡haz tu propio barro en casa!
Materiales que necesitas:
1 botella de pegamento escolar lavable Elmer’s
1/2 tasa de maicena
2 cucharadas de aceite para bebé (o aceite vegetal)
2 cucharadas de jugo de limón (o vinagre blanco)

On Sunday, Major James reminded us that we are a little bit like an orange 🍊! We have multiple sweet parts that come together to make one whole(some) person, and, just like the orange is covered by the peel to protect it, we are covered and protected by Gods grace.

Here is an optional activity for you to do! "Orange you glad" - using orange construction paper, write down Bible verses or kind thoughts and give them out to people you see!

Le dimanche, le Pasteur James nous a rappelé que nous sommes un peu comme une orange, car nous avons plusieurs parties sucrées qui se rejoignent pour former une personne entière (et agréable) 🍊. De plus, comme l’orange est recouverte par sa pelure pour la protéger, nous sommes couverts et protégés par la grâce de Dieu.

Voici une activité optionnelle à faire! À l’aide de papier de construction orange, écrivez des versets bibliques ou des pensées aimables et distribuez-les aux personnes que vous voyez!

El domingo, el Pastor James nos recordó que somos un poco como una naranja, porque tenemos múltiples partes dulces que se unen para formar una persona completa (y agradable)🍊. Y, así como la naranja está cubierta por su cáscara para protegerla, estamos cubiertos y protegidos por la gracia de Dios.

¡Aquí tienes una actividad opcional que puedes hacer! Usando cartulina naranja, escribe versículos de la Biblia o pensamientos amables y entrégalos a las personas que veas.
