All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all worlds—the One who honors nations with the legacy of His Prophets and elevates hearts with the inheritance of His Book. May the most complete and perpetual peace and blessings be upon our Master Muhammad, his pure family, and his noble companions, and the Muqriin—the masters of Qur'anic recitation who carried this sacred light to the ends of the earth.
With hearts brimming with gratitude and spirits uplifted by the sacred atmosphere of Madinah Al-Munawwarah—a city whose very soil we tread upon with utmost reverence, love, and spiritual longing—we are humbled to share news of a profoundly blessed encounter.
Our founder was recently granted the honor of a private audience with an illustrious scholar and a living treasure of the Islamic Ummah: His Eminence, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Jarallah—may Allah preserve him in health and faith and elevate his rank.
This meeting took place in the most blessed of settings, the Prophet's Mosque (Masjid Al Nabawi), a place where tranquility descends and supplications are answered. During this session, our founder had the opportunity to present the vision and mandate of Markaz Muqriin Toronto, and to humbly seek his esteemed scholarly counsel and spiritual blessings.
Sheikh Dr. Al-Jarallah holds a distinguished and multifaceted position. He is a Mudarris of Qur'an and Qirā'āt (Senior Faculty Member) at the Prophet's Mosque and serves as a mentor and teacher to numerous Imams of the Grand Mosque (Masjid Al Haram) and the Prophet's Mosque, including the renowned Sheikh Yasir Al-Dosari. His scholarly chain is unparalleled; he was the last student to receive ijazah from the late, great Imam of Qirā'āt, Shaykh Ibrahim Al-Samanudi (may Allah have mercy on him). This unique connection places him among the foremost living authorities in the world today in the science of Qirā'āt. In addition to his deep scholarly standing in the sacred sciences, he also holds a medical degree specializing in family consultation, embodying a holistic service to the Ummah.
During this private audience, our founder formally extended an invitation for Sheikh Al-Jarallah to visit Toronto and address our community of Muqriin. With characteristic grace and generosity, he graciously accepted. We now eagerly anticipate his visit to Toronto in the near future, insha'Allah.
In their conversation, Sayyidina Sheikh Al-Jarallah imparted significant guidance on preserving the precision of Tarteel as per the teachings of Imam Al-Muqriin, Imam Al-Dani rahimahullah, and the importance of purifying one's intention in service of the Holy Qur'an. He expressed genuine support for our institutional objectives, offering counsel that we will always cherish and uphold.
We ask Allah Almighty to reward our beloved Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Jarallah with the best of rewards, to prolong his life, and to allow us to benefit abundantly from his knowledge and barakah. This blessed suhba has inspired us to continue to serve the carriers of the Holy Qur'an with excellence, sincerity, and unwavering dedication.
