With a bittersweet heart, we are announcing that we will be holding our final public Sunday Worship Service as The Well Church Mississauga on October 27, 2024.

Over the past nearly 7 years, it has been so wonderful to worship together. We have seen many people come through our community and we want to invite you all to one final service together to thank God and worship Him for His continued faithfulness to His people, especially our little part of the Church.
So whether you’ve been a part of our church and moved on, or have visited once, whether you are currently a part of The Well and will be with us in our next chapter/iteration or not, please join us for a service of celebration and closing on October 27 at 12:30pm at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Streetsville (295 Queen St S, Mississauga,ON)

Today we start our exploration of the practice of Sabbath.
Are you feeling weary and overwhelmed?
Join us for four sessions (2/25, 3/4, 3/11, 3/25) as look at the gift, the command, the call of Sabbath in a world that doesn’t seem to have any space or time for rest. Dinner to be provided!
Fun fact: sabbath was the first thing to be called “holy” in the Bible.

Today is Ash Wednesday which marks the beginning of Lent.
Lent is the 40 day period before Easter (not including Sundays) and runs from today Ash Wednesday to Holy Saturday (the day after Good Friday) which is April 8th this year.
Traditionally Christians have observed this season through fasting, but really it is about preparation for Easter through contemplation on the person and work of Jesus Christ, and reflection on our need for him (and then repenting)
At The Well Church, we have prepared a couple Bible Reading Plans - the Gospels (15 min/day) or the New Testament (30 min/day), as well as a prayer guide, including shared prayer topics for our church.
Join our churches new discord server (link in bio) and share any thoughts, reflections, prayer requests or encouragements in the channel!

Advent Devotional Day 2: Tabernacled Among Us by Joseph Skip Ryan
(Voice is still croaky!)
Isn’t it amazing that God planned Jesus’ incarnation as a human being since the beginning, as we can see with the Old Testament structures that find their full fulfilment in Jesus Christ?!
1. How do you see the person of Jesus and the big picture of God’s plan in the Old Testament?
2. How is the awesome power of grace described in the reading evident in your life?
3. Reflect on the unbreakable connection between Christmas and Good Friday - that his birth and death are part of the same loving action of God. How does that change the way you view Christmas?
I encourage you to reflect more on Christ today than yesterday and continue that throughout the Advent season!

Have you come across any of the “inspirational” single quotes? Are there other quotes that you’ve come across that speak to you? Put them in the comments!

31 Days of Wisdom: Day 31 Proverbs 31
Last Day! Thank you to everyone who joined us in this journey. God job, I pray that your pursuit of God’s wisdom does not end here but continues as a habit of grace in your life. Chapter 31 ends with sayings that King Lemuel was taught by his mother (we all need the wisdom of God-inspired mothers) and a lengthy description of a noble wife (noble wife noble life?). But this description sounds much like Lady Wisdom throughout the proverbs- it isn’t that we need to find (men) or be (women) this kind of woman, but that we all need this in our lives - to find and pursue the wisdom of God in your life.
