This past weekend, our Young Adults took a timeout from the daily grind to seek The Peace of God. We traded our screens for scripture and the noise of the world for genuine fellowship.

There is nothing quite like gathering to build each other up and connect deeply with God and each other.

In 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1, Paul reminds us that we are the temple of the living God. Our identity isn’t found in success, approval, or achievement—it’s found in belonging to Him. When we yoke ourselves to things moving opposite of God’s direction, we drift into subtle compromise, replacing intimacy with activity.

The good news is Jesus chose to yoke Himself to our weakness so we could be connected to His strength. Holiness isn’t about perfection—it’s about alignment. Like Daniel who opened his windows to pray despite the law, we’re called to pursue God with purpose, even when it costs us. You’re not strong because you have it all together. You’re strong because you’re connected to the One who does.

This Sunday is going to be unforgettable. We are celebrating Pentecost Sunday and All Nations Sunday all in one massive, beautiful day, and we want you there! To celebrate, we are inviting everyone to come dressed in their traditional cultural outfits or a sports jersey to represent their country.

Right after the service, we will keep the celebration going with our “Taste of the Nations” after-party, featuring finger foods from all over the world.

How You Can Help: We want to taste the flavors of your culture! We are looking for volunteers to sign up and bring a favorite cultural finger food to share. Finger foods only, and they need to be ready-to-serve. We cannot warm anything up due to our ongoing kitchen renovations.

What To Do Next:
1. Plan your cultural outfit or jersey for Sunday.

We often prioritize comfort over growth, but the Apostle Paul shows us a better way. True friendship isn’t just about “acceptance”—it’s about the kind of deep love that refuses to let us stay in destructive patterns.

Paul’s letter to the Corinthians caused grief, but it led to change. We all need friends who love us enough to speak the difficult truths that lead to life. Who are those people for you?

For followers of Jesus, the answer to both is the same: Jesus Christ. He is our motivation and our identity. We are driven by the fear of the Lord and controlled by the love of Christ—not cringing terror, but holy reverence paired with sacrificial love.

2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us that you are a new creation. Not defined by your failures, your weakness, or your appearance but by Christ alone.

The fear of the Lord and the love of Christ should drive everything we do. We are ambassadors for heaven, living in a foreign land, telling others about the wonderful exchange Jesus made possible.
