TUESDAY CHALLENGE: STOP WAITING FOR PERMISSION

Your vision does not require universal approval.

One of the most expensive mistakes you can make is waiting for other people to validate a vision they were never given to see.

Some people will not understand your vision. Others will question your timing, criticize your methods, or remind you of every reason you might fail. But their inability to see what you see does not mean you should abandon what you have been called to do.

Learn to listen. Seek wisdom. Accept correction. Remain humble. But never surrender your purpose simply because someone else cannot yet see what you see.

Here are three questions to challenge you today:

1. What meaningful decision have you delayed because you are afraid of what people will say?
2. Whose approval are you waiting for before you take your next step?
3. Are you seeking wise counsel, or are you simply looking for permission to do what you already know you need to do?

Remember, there is a difference between being teachable and being controlled by other people’s opinions. Wisdom welcomes correction; courage refuses to let fear dictate the future.

YOUR TUESDAY CHALLENGE: Identify one meaningful action you have been postponing because you are waiting for approval. Take that step today. Make the call. Start the project. Share the idea. Have the conversation. Move forward with wisdom, preparation, and courage.

You can respect people’s opinions without allowing their opinions to become the boundaries of your possibilities.

Stop waiting for permission. Your vision deserves your commitment.

THE POWER OF GRATITUDE | CANADIAN THANKSGIVING

One thing I’ve learned in three decades of public speaking, executive coaching, consulting, and leadership development is this: never become so focused on what is next that you forget to give thanks for what is now.

This Thanksgiving, my heart is full.

To everyone who travelled from across Canada, the U.S., and the Caribbean to join us at the iTHRIVE Holistic Retreat 2026 in Punta Cana, which also celebrated my birthday last weekend, thank you. Your presence, generosity, and fellowship made it unforgettable. I’m grateful you all returned home safely.

My sincere thanks to the organizations, schools, government agencies, churches, and institutions that have invited me to speak, teach, and facilitate, and to those who have engaged my companies and teams to develop strategies, strengthen leadership, coach executives, build capacity, and transform organizations.

Thank you for your trust and partnership. Every opportunity to serve is a privilege I never take for granted.

But beyond our achievements, relationships, and opportunities, there is something even more fundamental for which we must give thanks.

Above all, we have so much to be thankful for: God, breath, life, the ability to think, reason, learn, love, create, serve, and begin again. We have another day and another opportunity to make a difference.

In pursuing more, we can overlook the blessings already in our hands.

My challenge: before getting out of bed each morning, identify ten things you are grateful for.

Let gratitude shape your attitude, strengthen your relationships, guide your decisions, and inspire your service to humanity.

Gratitude does not mean life is perfect.

It means recognizing that even amid challenges, there is still something worth appreciating.

From Canada to every corner of the world, I wish you and your loved ones a Happy Thanksgiving.

Let today be more than a day of thanks. Let gratitude become a way of life.

Give thanks.
Live purposefully.

THE POWER OF LOVE: AN EVENING WE WILL NEVER FORGET!

On Day Two of our four-day iTHRIVE Holistic Retreat in Punta Cana, we created something extraordinary: an experience of LOVE.

Dressed in red and white, we celebrated passion, commitment, and the people who make life meaningful. But beyond the beautiful colours, music, and laughter, we confronted questions that deserve more attention.

What is love, really? How do we ignite it, sustain it, and expand it? How do we choose someone to marry—not merely someone who excites us today, but someone with whom we can build a lifetime?

And here is a question worth pondering: How do you keep the fire burning after 60 years of marriage?

We explored the importance of character, shared values, communication, forgiveness, friendship, and the daily decision to choose each other. Because attraction may begin a relationship, but intentional love sustains it.

We also confronted a painful reality: sometimes yesterday’s wounds prevent us from embracing tomorrow’s love. Betrayal, rejection, and disappointment can build walls around our hearts. Healing is not pretending the pain never happened; it is refusing to let that pain dictate our future.

Then we danced! We laughed, shared a wonderful meal, celebrated one another, and listened to moving testimonies and reflections on the evening’s impact.

This is what holistic growth looks like. What is the value of extraordinary professional success if our relationships are falling apart? What is the purpose of accumulating wealth if we have forgotten how to love?

To everyone who travelled from different cities and countries to join us in Punta Cana: THANK YOU! You brought your stories, energy, openness, and humanity. Together, we created more than an event. We created a community.

And next year? We are seriously considering an entire island just for us! Imagine the possibilities.

Love is not merely a feeling. It is a decision, a discipline, and a force capable of transforming lives.

NOSAKHARE ALEX IHAMA BIRTHDAY: 100% GRATITUDE. 0% COMPLAINTS.

Today, I celebrate life — not because every chapter has been easy, but because God has been faithful through every chapter.

I have walked through valleys I never thought I would survive. I have experienced rejection, disappointment, failure, loss, pain, uncertainty and moments when I questioned whether I had the strength to keep going.

But God kept me.

And today, I am not standing here complaining about what I have lost.
I am standing here grateful for everything God has allowed me to become.

I am grateful for God, who remains my source, my strength and my foundation.

I am grateful for faith, because it has taught me to keep walking even when I cannot see the entire road.

I am grateful for family — the people who have given my life meaning far beyond titles, accomplishments or possessions.

I am grateful for purpose — the privilege of using my life to encourage people, develop leaders, build nations, create opportunities and leave people better than I found them.

I am grateful for every city I have entered, every nation I have touched, every person I have coached, every life I have influenced, every book I have written, every dream I have pursued and every door God has opened.

And even for the doors that closed…

I am grateful.

Because some closed doors protected me.
Some redirected me.
Some prepared me.
And some simply made room for something greater.

Today, I choose to celebrate God’s grace over my life.

I choose gratitude over bitterness.
Faith over fear.
Purpose over distraction.
Service over self.
Legacy over applause.
Hope over disappointment.

My prayer for this new chapter is simple:

God, give me more life — so I can create more impact.
Give me more wisdom — so I can serve more people.
Give me more strength — so I can carry greater responsibility.
Give me more opportunities — so I can build stronger communities and nations.
And above all, keep me close to You.

I don’t want to simply live longer.

I want to live deeper.
Love greater.
Serve better.
Build stronger.
Give more.
Inspire more.
And leave a legacy that continues speaking long after I am gone.

So today, I celebrate Nosakhare Alex Ihama — a man still becoming, still learning, still growing, still serving, still dreaming and still believing.

There is still work to do.

There are still lives to touch.

There are still leaders to raise.

There are still nations to build.

There is still purpose to fulfill.

And by the grace of God…

I am just getting started.

Wow—this is becoming real!

The first delegates for the iTHRIVE Holistic Retreat 2026 are about to arrive in the Dominican Republic.

Soon we will be welcoming people from North Carolina, Chicago, California, New York, Newark, Jamaica, The Bahamas, Oshawa, Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton, and beyond.

What began as a vision is becoming a gathering of people willing to cross borders to rest, learn, connect, and celebrate together!

We have coordinated VIP arrival assistance for our delegates to help make their passage through the airport’s normal immigration and arrival procedures as smooth as possible.
