Yesterday we finished our journey through the Gospel of Mark.

The good news that Jesus is Lord really is good news —
but it’s also a disruptive message. Because if He’s Lord of all, then He’s Lord of your life too.

We can try to explain that carefully, but we can’t soften it. Jesus lays claim to every part of us; our decisions, our relationships, our everyday lives.

So the real question isn’t is Jesus Lord.
The question is: Is He Lord of your life?

Have you not heard?” (Isaiah 40)

At Renewal Night, we prayed these words together—bringing our weariness to God and waiting on the One who does not grow tired or weary. We were reminded that renewal is not something we manufacture, but something God gives as we wait on Him.

A Fresh Work for the Future

As we look ahead, we do so with confidence—not because we know the future, but because we trust the One who goes before us. God is already at work in what lies ahead, inviting His people to walk forward with faith, hope, and obedience.

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:19)

Today we pray for:

God’s guidance for the year ahead
Faith to follow where God leads

God, we trust You with what comes next.
Lead us into Your future.

Prayer Week — Day 4
A Fresh Work in Our Witness

Renewal does not end with us. When Jesus calls us to follow Him, He also sends us out. Today we pray for a renewed sense of calling—to live and speak as faithful witnesses through our words, actions, and everyday presence in the world.

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” (Mark 1:17)

Today we pray for:

Friends, family, and neighbours who need Christ
Courage to live and speak as witnesses
God’s kingdom to be seen in our city and neighbourhoods

Lord, renew our calling.
Send us with Your love and truth.

A fresh work of God is always a work of the Holy Spirit. As the early church prayed, God filled them again—renewing courage, deepening dependence, and empowering them for faithful witness.

“They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.” (Acts 4:31)

A Fresh Work Among Us

After seasons of instability or challenge, God often brings renewal by healing what has been strained or broken. Unity is not something we manufacture—it is a gift of the Spirit that we are called to protect with humility, patience, and love.

“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” (Ephesians 4:3)

Today we pray:

Lord, make us one.
Heal what is broken.
Renew our life together.
