“Scripture of the Day”

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. - Genesis 3:15

God did not promise that the journey would be without wounds. The enemy may attack your faith, disturb your peace, challenge your family, or try to discourage your heart. But your wounds do not mean you have been defeated.

At Calvary, Jesus was wounded, but the serpent was crushed. This means that what hurts you does not have to define you. Your present pain is not the prophecy of your future. God can use even the places where you have been wounded to reveal the victory of Christ in your life.

So do not surrender because the battle has become intense. Do not allow disappointment, failure, opposition, or spiritual warfare to convince you that God has abandoned you. You may have been bruised, but you are not broken; you may be pressed, but you are not defeated. Christ has already secured the victory.

Prayer: Lord, give me strength to stand where I have been wounded. Heal every place the enemy has attacked, restore what has been shaken, and give me courage to fight without fear. Let the victory of Calvary become evident in my life. I refuse to be defeated, because my victory is in You, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

“Scripture of the Day”

“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.” - Psalm 127:1

Not everything that is being built is being built by God. We can establish councils, structures, families, ministries, and institutions through our own wisdom, ambition, and strength, but anything we build without God’s approval is a self-made structure destined to fail. Human effort cannot sustain what God has not ordained.

Gamaliel declared in Acts 5:38: And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought. If our councils, structures, families/marriages, ministries, or institutions are not of God they will crumble!

We must be careful not to ask God to bless what we have already decided to build without Him. A plan can be well organized, strongly supported, and successfully established, yet still be outside the will of God. What God builds, He sustains; what man builds against His purpose will eventually crumble.

Prayer: Lord, expose every self-made plan that has been established without Your counsel. Tear down every structure that is contrary to Your will, and destroy every foundation built on human wisdom, ambition, and pride. Let only what You have ordained stand, and build our lives upon Christ, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

“Scripture of the Day”

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? - Matthew 16:26

One of the most dangerous things happening today is how casually people are treating what is eternal. We carefully protect our health, secure our possessions, build our careers, and plan for our future, yet far too many give little thought to the condition of their soul or where they will spend eternity.

Your soul is more valuable than anything this world can offer. No amount of success, pleasure, money, or recognition can compensate for losing what is eternal. What we do with Christ is not a casual decision, it is the most important decision we will ever make.

Let us never become so distracted by this temporary life that we neglect our eternal destiny. Today is the time to examine our hearts, draw closer to Jesus Christ, and make our salvation our greatest priority.

Prayer: Lord, awaken our hearts and deliver us from spiritual carelessness. Give us a holy fear, a deep hunger for You, and the wisdom to value our souls above everything this world offers. Keep us faithful until the end, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

“Scripture of the Day”

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths.” - Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬

When we truly commit ourselves to the Lord, we do not have to walk through life depending solely on our own understanding. Our commitment to Him positions us to trust His direction, even when we cannot see what lies ahead.

God’s guidance is not merely about showing us where to go; His protection accompanies His direction. When He orders our steps, we can have confidence that He is watching over us along the journey.

Therefore, commit your way fully to the Lord. Trust His wisdom, follow His leading, and rest in His protection. When our lives are surrendered to Him, we can move forward with confidence that He will guide us and keep us.

Prayer: Lord, I surrender my life completely to You. Order my steps, guard my path, and keep me from every danger that is outside Your will. Lead me, protect me, and never allow me to walk away from Your purpose, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

“Scripture of the Day”

“Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.” Revelation‬ ‭2‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭

It is possible to be faithful in the many things we do in the church and yet allow our love for Christ to grow cold. The church at Ephesus had works, patience, discernment, and endurance, but Jesus Christ saw what others might not have seen, they had left their first love.

Our first love is the affection, devotion, passion, and hunger we had for Jesus Christ when we first encountered His grace. We must guard it carefully, because activity for God can never replace intimacy with God. It is not enough to work for Him; we must continue to love Him.

Jesus Christ called them to remember, repent, and return. Remaining in our first love keeps our service from becoming routine, our worship from becoming mechanical, and our relationship with Christ from becoming merely religious. Never become so busy doing things for Jesus Christ that you lose your love for Him.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, rekindle the fire of my first love! Remove every distraction, coldness, and spiritual complacency. Restore my hunger, deepen my devotion, and keep my heart burning passionately for You. Let nothing take Your place in my heart. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen!

“Scripture of the Day”

“A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.” — Proverbs 15:1

Conflict in life is inevitable, but conflict in and of itself is not necessarily bad. Scripture does not teach us to avoid every conflict; rather, it teaches us how to respond when conflict comes. Sometimes conflict reveals things that would otherwise remain hidden, attitudes, motives, weaknesses, and areas that need attention.

What matters most is how we handle the conflict. Our response can either bring clarity and restoration or create greater division and destruction. Conflict does not have to become a crisis; it can become an opportunity for growth.

So when conflict arises, let us choose wisdom over anger, grace over retaliation, and reconciliation over pride. The way we respond in difficult moments reveals the maturity of our character and the work of Christ within us.

Prayer: Lord, when conflict arises, rule my heart before my emotions rule my response. Deliver me from pride, anger, retaliation, and every reaction that dishonors You. Give me the grace to speak with wisdom, stand in truth, walk in love, and pursue peace. Turn every conflict into an opportunity for growth, restoration, and Your glory. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

“Scripture of the Day”

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” 1 John‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬-‭3‬

There is a great blessing in knowing who we are in Christ. To be called the sons and daughters of God is one of the greatest privileges we could ever receive. We must never lose sight of what it took for us to have this relationship with Him.

Think of it: the King of glory chose to die such an horrific death for sinners like us. His sacrifice was the ultimate expression of love, grace, and mercy.

Such love demands more than casual devotion. It calls us to give Him our hearts, our lives, and our complete commitment, not just for a moment, but for as long as we live.

Prayer: Lord, let us never take Your sacrifice for granted! Let the reality of Your love break every form of complacency in us. We surrender our hearts, our lives, our plans, and our future completely to You. Keep us faithful, keep us consecrated, and give us the grace to honour the price You paid until our final breath. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

“Scripture of the Day”

For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. -Romans 5:10

The death of Jesus Christ did not give us religion, a system of beliefs, rituals, or outward practices. It gave us salvation and brought us back into fellowship and relationship with God. Through His sacrifice, the separation caused by sin was addressed.

Religion can tell us what to do for God, but relationship allows us to know the heart of God. Religion can become outward observance, but salvation brings inward transformation and reconciliation. Through Christ, we are not simply practicing faith; we are walking with the One who saved us.

Jesus Christ did not die so that we could simply become religious people. He died to reconcile us to God, transform our lives, and restore the fellowship that sin had broken. Our salvation is not about practicing a religion, it is about having a restored relationship with God.

Prayer: in the name of Jesus Christ, Lord take me beyond outward religion into genuine relationship with You. Let my faith be more than practice, let it be fellowship, obedience, transformation, and love. Keep me close to You. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

“Scripture of the Day”

But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. -Matthew 9:36 (Matthew 9:36–38)

People still need Jesus Christ as their Lord, Saviour, Healer, and Deliverer. When Jesus Christ saw the multitude, He was moved with compassion because they were scattered and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

All around us, hearts are searching, lives are wounded, and souls are wandering without hope. The harvest is ready, but the labourers are few. Every day, people pass through our lives who need to hear the good news, feel the love of Christ, and be led to the One who can save, heal, restore, and deliver them. The fields are not far away, they are in our homes, workplaces, communities, and streets. The time to labour is now.

The question is personal: Can the Lord count on you as a labourer in His vineyard? Will you see the lost through His eyes, feel their pain in your heart, and respond to His call? Someone may be waiting for the encouragement, prayer, invitation, or testimony that only you can give. Will you step forward and allow His compassion to move you into action?

Prayer: Lord, give me Your compassion, Your burden, and Your courage. Make me a faithful labourer who will lead the lost to Jesus Christ. Let my life become a vessel for the salvation of souls. Send me, Lord, I am willing to go! In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
