The Meadows Church The Meadows Church is a family who strives to love our neighbours like Jesus has loved us

In September 2014, we started our gatherings with a special passion to care for our neighbourhood of Churchill Meadows in Mississauga, ON. Now because of God's love for us, we are motivated to serve one another in community and lives out Jesus' mission to love our neighbours.

This Sunday at The Meadows, we’re excited to welcome a special guest speaker, David Childs. David serves with 20 Schemes and is planting a church in the neighbourhood of Govan in Glasgow, Scotland. As one of the ministry partners we support, David is on the front lines of gospel ministry in a community with significant spiritual and practical needs. This Sunday will be a unique opportunity to hear firsthand how God is at work in Scotland.

David will be preaching from Acts 18:1–18a, a passage that reminds us how God advances His mission through ordinary people who faithfully serve Him in challenging places. He’ll also share about the ministry in Govan, the opportunities and challenges of church planting there, and ways we can continue to pray for and encourage this work. Join us this Sunday as we hear God’s Word, celebrate what He is doing beyond our city, and be inspired by how the gospel is transforming lives across the world.

This Sunday at The Meadows, we’ll continue in Acts 17:22–34 as we watch Paul preach one of the most powerful and culturally aware sermons in the Bible. Standing in the middle of Athens, surrounded by different beliefs and worldviews, Paul shows us how to faithfully reach people without compromising the truth. He begins by building common ground with the people around him, then shows how their beliefs fall short. This is followed up by pointing them to the hope found in Jesus and finally calling them to respond. It’s a masterclass in speaking truth with both courage and wisdom.

As we think about our own city of Mississauga and the neighbourhood of Churchill Meadows, this passage challenges us to consider how we can do the same today. The people around us are searching for meaning, identity, hope, and purpose, but often in the wrong places. This Sunday, we’ll learn how to engage our culture thoughtfully and lovingly, showing people that Jesus is not just one option among many, but the One our lives were truly made for. Join us as we discover how to communicate the gospel clearly, compassionately, and missionally in the place God has called us to serve.

This Sunday at The Meadows, we’ll be looking at Acts 17:16–21 and exploring what it means to faithfully reach people in the culture around us. As Paul enters the city of Athens, he begins by observing them. He listens, learns, and understands the fears, desires, and beliefs shaping their lives so he can clearly show them why they need Jesus. This is what we call missional contextualization: changing our methods without changing the message.

As followers of Jesus in Mississauga and Churchill Meadows, we are called to do the same. Our city is filled with different cultures, worldviews, and ways of life, and if we want to reach people well, we need both truth and love. This Sunday, we’ll talk about how the gospel speaks into the real struggles and longings of the people around us and how we can communicate the unchanging message of Jesus in ways that connect with our neighbours today. Join us as we learn how to become more faithful and effective on God’s mission right where He has placed us.

This Sunday, we want to take a closer look at a powerful statement from the book of Acts of the Apostles: “These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also.”

What was it about the early Christians that impacted entire cities and communities? And what does that mean for us today?

Together, we will look at the life and ministry of Paul and Silas and remind ourselves that the gospel of Jesus Christ still carries the same power today as it did 2,000 years ago. In a world shaped by comfort, distraction, and endless voices competing for our attention, we want to rediscover the centrality of God’s Word and what it means to live unashamed of the gospel.

We would love for you to join us this Sunday. Let’s come together as believers to worship, encourage one another, and be reminded again of the power of the gospel that has changed our lives and is able to strengthen us to live boldly and faithfully for Him in our everyday lives.

This Sunday, we continue our Acts series: Mature and Multiply by looking at Acts 16:25–40. Paul and Silas find themselves beaten, chained, and thrown into prison but instead of complaining, they pray and sing. What happens next is unexpected because God moves powerfully, not just to shake the prison, but to open a door for salvation. This passage shows us how the gospel transforms lives completely, turning fear into joy and despair into hope. It also challenges us to consider how our own lives especially in suffering, can become a witness that points others to Christ.

Join us as we learn what it means to worship in the dark, trust God when we can’t see what He’s doing, and boldly live out our faith. Whether you’re exploring Christianity or have been following Jesus for years, this message will encourage you to grow as a mature disciple who helps multiply others for God’s kingdom.

04/25/2026

This Sunday at The Meadows, we’ll continue our Mature and Multiply series and see what life on Jesus’ mission really looks like. It’s not always smooth or predictable. Sometimes you experience the good—open hearts and new beginnings. Sometimes the bad—spiritual resistance and opposition. And sometimes the ugly—misunderstanding, false accusations, and pushback. The truth is, until you share your faith, you never know what kind of response you will get. But Jesus still calls us to go.

In this passage, we’ll see how Paul lived with both wisdom and courage, going where the people were, looking for those open to hearing the gospel, and trusting God to do the work only He can do. We will be reminded that even when the message of Jesus disrupts comfort or challenges culture, it is still good news worth sharing. Join us this Sunday as we learn how to stay faithful on the mission, no matter the response, and discover how God can use ordinary people to make an extraordinary impact right here in our city.

04/18/2026

This Sunday at The Meadows, we begin a new series in the Book of Acts and discovering an important truth about following Jesus: roadblocks on the mission are not dead-ends but hurdles to overcome. In this passage, Paul and Barnabas face real challenges; disagreement, distractions, and uncertain direction. Yet instead of giving up, those obstacles actually led to more growth, more leaders, and more churches. God’s heart has always been the same: to see His people mature in their faith and multiply in number.

We’ll see that setbacks, disagreements, family background, or closed doors do not stop us from being used by God. In fact, they may be the very things He uses to move His mission forward. This Sunday, we’ll be challenged to stay focused to move forward on mission right here in our neighbourhood. Join us as we learn how God can turn life’s roadblocks into opportunities for growth and multiplication.

04/11/2026

This Sunday at The Meadows, we’re bringing our Follow Me series to a close by looking at Jesus’ final words to His disciples in Matthew 28:16–20. After the resurrection, Jesus doesn’t tell His followers to sit back and enjoy the moment; He sends them out on mission. The natural response to encountering the risen Jesus is to go and share that good news with others. A church can have great programs, great music, and great community, but if it is not making disciples, we’re missing the very reason we exist.

In this final message, we’ll be reminded that every follower of Jesus is called to be a disciple-maker, a multiplier. God is already at work in and through our church, and we believe He wants to do even more in the days ahead. Join us this Sunday as we celebrate what God has done, look forward to what He will do, and step into the mission He has given us to make disciples right here in our city.
