We're less than 2 weeks away from the Conference in Toronto! Here's some information about the Conference, as well as a checklist to help you pack for your stay in Toronto!
Conference Information:
1. Registration
_o Begins Friday, August 2 at 9:30am
_o Payments for registration, tour, international YAD uniform will be accepted at registration
_ Registration on or before May 15: $ 75 USD after May 15: $100 USD
_ Tour
_ Aug 5: ½ day tour to downtown Toronto $ 10 USD
_ Aug 6: 1 day tour to Niagara Falls/Waterloo $ 20 USD
_ Aug 7-9: 3 day tour to Montreal/Quebec/Ottawa $ 245 USD
_ International YAD uniform: $ 7 USD
2. Accommodation
_o Accommodation from August 2 to August 5 (inclusive) will be at a nearby hotel. Participants who arrive early and/or stay for tours after will stay at the temple for the additional days
_o Laundry services will not be available during your stay in Toronto
3. Performances
_o In addition to scheduled run-throughs (on stage with temple equipment), there will be time allotted during the conference for practices and rehearsals. If you would like to request any equipment for your practice (e.g. CD player), please notify us at [email protected] before July 25, 2013. We will not be able to accommodate last minute requests.
4. Tournament
o There will be a Basketball Tournament on Monday, August _5 during the Farewell Patio Party
4. General Information
_o Food and drinks from outside, such as alcohol, ci******es, meat, etc. are not permitted on temple property.
_o Please bring a water bottle as we try to reduce the use of disposable cups during the conference

Conference Essentials:
1. Conference Clothing
_ Subdivision YAD uniform
_ International YAD uniform (red)
_ Performance attire
_ Robes and luo-han shoes for morning/evening service

_ YAD Passport
_ All applicable Registration and Application forms (if not handed in before)
_ YAD Presentation/Report and Posters, plus any relevant others
_ YAD Handbook from your subdivision (if one was prepared)

_ Passport (Visas if necessary)

_ Money (Most tourist areas will accept USD, but currency exchange will also be available during conference if needed)

_ Photocopies of important documents (for self and parents/guardians)
Travel Essentials – what to pack:
1. General Clothing
_o Outfits (shorts should be at least knee length or longer) for each day you’re traveling, plus one (in case of wardrobe malfunction), including sleepwear, underwear, socks, and any necessary accessories like watch, belts, hats and sunglasses
_o Comfortable, weather and temple appropriate shoes (i.e. no open toe shoes)
_o A cardigan/light jacket since the temple will be air-conditioned
2. Personal Hygiene and Toiletries
_o Toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss, soap, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, moisturizers, sunscreen, comb, hair products, nail clippers and shaving supplies
_o Washcloth, towel, toiletry bag
_o If applicable: contact lenses supplies, glasses, feminine hygiene products, splints and retainers
3. Travel Aids
_o Prescription and allergy medication, motion sickness remedy, pain killers, vitamins, first-aid kit/bandages, hand sanitizer, earplugs, and insect repellent
4. Miscellaneous
_o Small bag, sealable plastic bags, laundry bag, water bottle, umbrella, souvenirs, pens
5. Do NOT Bring
_o Please do not bring any valuable items (including gold or silver jewelries)
