One thing we do daily is stop and acknowledge the good works of one another. It can be something simple like finishing your lunch without complaining or something big like fixing an easel that is not standing straight.

We stop and we clap for the good works of each other.

It boosts confidence and gives others an opportunity to identify the good in others.

Here we are clapping for Isaac because he fixed the easel. Look at that face. It’s a face glowing with the glow of Christ.

Being creative with lunch today
The kids used flour to help the dough not stick to their hands and plate. They used their hands to pull and mould the dough to a circle. They poured and tasted the sauce, cheese and pepperoni. When the pizza was baked they were more than eager to eat the food they made.

Some new and exciting additions!
The pikler triangle from Two Sticks Canada gets their bodies moving indoors (as we get into the rainy cold and snowy seasons 😀)
And our prayer space! This is where we learn about the saints and read our bible. This week we are learning about the fiery furnace and about God’s abundant mercy. He will always save us!

What a great and full first day and it’s not finished yet!

This morning went we through our morning routine.
Saying the Our Father, singing Oh Canada and doing some morning stretches.

We reviewed the weather and decided today was cloudy.

We read the story of Elijah and how his prayers brought rain.
We built an altar just like Elijah and prayed to the one true God to bring fire down from the heavens.

We coloured a picture of Elijah praying.

We went outside to run around and play with some bubbles.

I’m a big teacher on teaching kids from a very young age on how they can be responsible and play a helping role in the home.

One of the biggest lessons is taking care of the blessings God gives us. That includes our toys.
