FR. BINESH PALAKUDIYIL
Fr. Binesh Palakudiyil (Baptismal Name: Joseph) was born on 24 April 1988 at Kattappana, Kerala, India, to George and Thressiamma of the Palakudiyil family, Eattithoppu Parish, Idukki District.
He completed his schooling in Kerala and pursued higher studies at Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree with First Class. He also completed his ecclesiastical studies in Philosophy and Theology with First Class from the Pontifical Institute of Theology and Philosophy, Alwaye, Kerala.
Fr. Binesh was ordained a priest on 27 December 2014 , for the Eparchy of Idukki, by Bishop Mar Mathew Anikuzhikattil.
Following his ordination, he served in various parishes as Assistant Vicar, including St. Jude Town Church, Adimali; Devamatha Church, Rajakumari; and St. Sebastian’s Church, Nedumkandam. From 2017 to 2024, he served as Vicar of St. Antony’s Church, Irumpupalam.
In addition to his parish ministry, Fr. Binesh served as the Diocesan Director of INFARM (Indian Farmers Movement) and Labour Movement from 2022 to 2025, and later as the Diocesan Director of AKCC (All Kerala Catholic Congress). Since May 2024, he has been serving as the Vicar of St. Mary’s Church, Karimpan
