🙏 A PRAYER FOR NEW New Beginnings

As students return to classrooms, teachers begin another year, and many step into new jobs, routines, ministries, and seasons of life, we pause to pray.
----------------------

Lord, go before us in every new beginning.

Give our students courage to learn, grow, and be a light wherever they go. Give teachers and school staff wisdom, patience, strength, and compassion.

Be near to those beginning a new job, entering a new season, or facing changes they didn’t expect. Bring peace where there is uncertainty, confidence where there is fear, and remind us that You are already present in every place You are leading us.

May this new season be filled with opportunities to grow, serve, love our neighbours, and reflect Christ in our communities.

Lord, guide our steps and help us walk faithfully with You.

Amen.

🙏 Please Join Us in Prayer

Around the world, communities are facing devastating disasters—including earthquakes, flooding, landslides, wildfires and other emergencies.

Nazarene Compassionate Ministries teams and local churches in several affected areas are responding, assessing needs and walking alongside their communities. In some places, teams are travelling into areas where access remains difficult and conditions continue to change.

Please pray for:
• Families who have lost loved ones, homes, land and livelihoods
• Communities experiencing displacement and uncertainty
• Local Nazarene churches serving in affected areas
• NCM teams conducting assessments and coordinating response efforts
• Safety and access for those travelling into impacted communities
• Local authorities, first responders and organizations working together
• Wisdom as needs are identified and next steps are determined

Lord, be near to those who are hurting. Protect those responding, strengthen Your Church as it serves, and bring hope in the midst of loss and uncertainty.

As local Nazarene churches and leaders continue to assess needs and serve communities affected by the earthquake, we invite the Church across Canada to stand with them through prayer and giving.

Canadian donors can support the Colombia Earthquake Response through Nazarene Compassionate Ministries Canada. Funds designated to this response will help support the compassionate response being coordinated as local churches and leaders respond to needs on the ground.

🙏 Please continue to pray for those affected and for the pastors, churches, volunteers and leaders serving their communities.

Pastoring After Mountaintop Moments is a three-week webinar presented by Dr. Hannah Jones-Nelson, youth pastor at Flint Central Church of the Nazarene in Michigan, designed to help you lead students well in the ordinary weeks after the mountaintop.

Week 1 explores implementing spiritual practices, week 2 looks at continued formation, and week 3 addresses pastoring students who are exploring a call to ministry.
