Saint Andrew's United Church, Mission

Saint Andrew's United Church, Mission A progressive and welcoming church in the liberal Protestant tradition. We share a building with All Saints Anglican Church. Office is in the basement. At St.

Worship is in the upstairs sanctuary. Andrew's, you will find imperfect people trying to seek justice, love kindness and walk humbly with their God. We value social justice, enjoy our music ministry and take care of those inside and outside our walls. We take our faith seriously; this includes laughing at ourselves. We have a strong sense of calling to be a liberal Christian presence north of the Fraser Valley, and enjoy collaborating with other denominations in our community.

Office is closed for the holiday tomorrow (Labour Day). Enjoy your day!

Besides the falling leaves autumn brings, what comes to mind when you think of September?

This Christmas, Mission Community Services Society (MCSS) is seeking donations to help bring comfort, warmth, and holiday cheer to individuals living in our Second Stage Housing program.
Many residents are rebuilding their lives and creating a brighter future for themselves. Your generosity can make a meaningful difference during the holiday season.
We are gratefully accepting donations of new, unused items such as:
Warm socks
Hats and toques
Toothbrushes and toothpaste
Shampoo, conditioner, and other hygiene products
Deodorant and body wash
Chocolates and holiday treats
Coffee
Powdered coffee whitener
Hot chocolate and other comfort items

Every donation, no matter the size, helps make Christmas a little brighter for those we serve.
Thank you for supporting our community and helping spread kindness this holiday season.

Drop off is in the grey 3 story building just down from Mission hospital, 7460 Hurd Street. Ask for Emma.

In August 2025, General Council 45 supported the resolution for a Harm Reduction Sunday to be observed across the United Church.

Harm reduction services and supports for people who use drugs are increasingly under threat across Canada. Yet communities of faith are called to respond to the toxic drug crisis with care, dignity, and hope.

For many working in harm reduction, the situation seems quite bleak.

Rev. Jeffrey Dale invites us to consider: does it ever get better? And how can our communities help make “better” possible?

The United Church of Canada will mark its first Harm Reduction Sunday on August 30, 2026.

Find out more and explore the sermon starters and prayer developed for this important day:
