Celebrating Camp Sunday
Today is Camp Sunday! As we gather today to celebrate the ministry of Covenant Heights, our hearts are full of anticipation for the 2026 season. We have spent the last few weeks praying for our campers, our leaders, our volunteers, and our families—and now, we bring it all together as one community.

This summer, our theme is Masterpiece. Our prayer for every person who steps onto our grounds—whether for the first time or the fiftieth—is that they would see themselves as God’s unique handiwork, crafted with intention and loved beyond measure. Join us as we commit this entire season to the One who is writing a beautiful story in all of our lives.

Our prayer for Camp 2026:

Heavenly Father, we commit this summer season at Covenant Heights into Your hands. As we gather among the beauty of Your handiwork, we ask that You would open our eyes to the truth that we are Your masterpiece, uniquely fashioned in Christ Jesus to walk in the good works You have prepared for us.

We pray for every camper who steps onto these grounds, that they would exchange their insecurities for the quiet confidence of being handcrafted by the one who knows them by name. Grant the staff Your strength and patience, allowing their lives to be the brushes You use to paint a clearer picture of the Gospel for everyone to see.

May every activity and every evening campfire lead us closer to Your heart. We ask that You would take our messy stories and transform them into a display of Your grace and glory. Work in us and through us this summer, Lord.

As we continue our countdown to Camp Sunday on April 26th, our prayers today move toward the heart of the camp: the kitchen. We are lifting up our kitchen volunteers who serve so faithfully behind the scenes.

Join us in prayer for our kitchen team:

Lord, we thank you for the hands that will serve in the kitchen at Covenant Heights this summer. We recognize that every meal shared is an opportunity for fellowship and a reflection of Your provision.

We pray for our kitchen volunteers, asking for energy and joy as they serve. Grant them patience and a spirit of harmony amidst the heat and the busyness. May they see their work not just as preparation and service, but as a vital part of the ministry happening at camp.

Bless the conversations had over shared meals, and let the nourishment provided strengthen every camper and staff member for the adventures You have planned. May our kitchen team feel Your presence with them in every task, knowing they are a valued part of Your masterpiece.

As we draw closer to Camp Sunday on April 26th, our hearts are with the homes and families that make up the CHBC community. Today, we are praying specifically for the parents and families of our campers.

Sending a child to camp is an act of trust, and we don't take that lightly. We are praying for peace and renewal for every parent as they entrust their children to us this summer.

Join us in prayer for our families:

Heavenly Father, we lift up the families and parents who are entrusting their children to Covenant Heights this summer. We know that as they say their goodbyes and leave their children in our care, their hearts remain with them. Grant these families Your peace and a deep sense of rest, knowing their children are held in Your hands.

We ask that You would give these parents eyes to see their children as Your masterpiece—not as projects to be fixed, but as intentional works of Your hand, uniquely fashioned for the path You have prepared. As their children experience camp, we pray that the parents also find renewal, trusting that the same one who began a good work in their family is faithful to complete it.

May the stories shared when these campers return home be a testament to Your grace. Transform their homes into a gallery of Your love, where every family member can see the beauty of what You are building in one another. As they grow together, continue to shape each of them according to Your perfect design.
