🌟 VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT 🌟

For the past 16 years, Don Hysert has been a steadfast presence and a true blessing to our FCC family!

You probably recognize his welcoming smile as one of our current ushers, but Don's heart for service runs incredibly deep. Over the years, he has faithfully guided us as an Elder, lifted our spirits as a song leader, and anchored our congregation as a leader of prayer time. No matter the season, Don is always willing to step up and use his gifts to serve our church community.

Don’s deep faith and wisdom continue to inspire us all. When asked about his journey, he shared: "My faith is an anchor for my soul and encourages me in times of trouble, gets me through day to day."

He also leaves us with this beautiful reminder to cherish the present:
"Yesterday is gone, tomorrow may never come, today is the day that is precious."

Next time you see Don at the doors, please take a moment to thank him for his incredible dedication and many years of loving service to our church! 💙🙌

Freshwater Youth Group starts next week at the church! Students in Grades 6–12 are invited to join us for an evening of good food, great friends, plenty of fun and meaningful conversations about faith and life.

Creativity was in full colour at Freshwater! 🎨

Our Kids Rock and Boulders groups enjoyed a special morning of painting, learning and bringing their imaginations to life with guest instructor Sheila McDermid. From the first brushstroke to the proud final reveal, it was wonderful to see each young artist create something uniquely their own!

A heartfelt thank-you to Sheila for sharing her time, talent and encouragement with our kids—and well done to all of our young artists. Just look at those incredible masterpieces! 💙

Freshwater Fun Fest is happening TOMORROW—and a little rain won’t stop us from having an incredible afternoon!

Bring the whole family to Freshwater Community Church from 12:30–4:30 PM for the dunk tank, obstacle course, bubble soccer, cotton candy, snow cones and so much more.

It’s completely FREE, everyone is welcome, and the fun is happening rain or shine. We can’t wait to see you there!

Freshwater Fun Fest is taking over the church grounds with a dunk tank, inflatable obstacle course, bubble soccer, cotton candy, snow cones and plenty more surprises for the whole family.

Come ready to bounce, splash, laugh and see who in your family has the best bubble-soccer skills—or the best aim at the dunk tank. 👀💦
