Starting this Wednesday, we’re teaming up to make sure everyone gets an awesome, age-specific experience! 👇

FRESHWATER YOUTH (Grades 8–12)
📍 Freshwater Community Church, Mindemoya
🗓️ Wednesdays | 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
High schoolers, this is your time! Come hang out, connect, and recharge mid-week.

JUNIOR HIGH YOUTH GROUP (Grades 6–7)
📍 Hosted by Grace Bible Church, Little Current
🗓️ Tuesdays | 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Middle schoolers, we’ve got an action-packed night just for you!

We are so thrilled that there's a great space for every age group to connect. Bring your energy, and bring a friend! 🙌

⚡ The power may be out, but Sunday’s still on!

We’ll be gathering for worship as usual, with generators running the sound. Just a heads-up: there won’t be a livestream this week.

And while the coffee and tea are taking a Sunday off, treats and good company are still on the menu! Join us in the gym after the service—we’ll save you a spot. ☺️

A youth group update from Freshwater Community Church! 🎉

Starting Wednesday, October 21, Freshwater Youth at Freshwater Community Church in Mindemoya will focus on students in grades 8–12. We meet Wednesdays from 3:00–7:00 PM.

For students in grades 6–7, we encourage you to check out the recently relaunched Junior High Youth Group hosted by Grace Bible Church in Little Current. They meet Tuesdays:

🕕 6:00 PM: Meet at LCPS for gym time and hanging out
🕖 7:00 PM: Head to Grace Bible Church for Bible study, snacks, and games
🕗 8:00 PM: Pick-up at Grace Bible Church

A guardian form needs to be signed on your first visit. We’re grateful there’s a place for students to connect at both churches—bring a friend and join in!

Big questions, good conversations, and time to hang out—it’s all part of Wednesday night youth! 🙌

Starting tomorrow, we’re kicking off the Alpha Youth course and exploring life, faith, purpose, who Jesus is, and more. You don’t need to have all the answers—just bring your curiosity (and a friend!).

Join us Wednesdays from 3:00–7:00 PM at the church. We’ll keep going until Christmas break. Hope to see you there! 🎉

🌟 VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT 🌟

Since 2012, Janyn Towns has been a steadfast presence and a true blessing to our FCC family!

You probably recognize her welcoming smile as one of our current Kitchen Coordinators, but Janyn's heart for service runs incredibly deep. Over the years, she has faithfully guided us as an Elder and generously given her time as a kitchen helper. No matter the season, Janyn is always willing to step up and use her gifts to serve our church community.

Janyn’s dedication is deeply rooted in her love for others and her reliance on the Lord. When reflecting on her journey, she shared: "I love volunteering for and with my church family, and my church family (and others too) have held and sustained me through a traumatic time."

She also leaves us with this beautiful reminder of where her true strength lies: "But my biggest support comes from my faith in Jesus as my Savior."

Next time you see Janyn around the kitchen or at church, please take a moment to thank her for her incredible dedication and many years of loving service to our congregation! 💙🙌

When life feels uncertain and our hearts grow weary, Jesus reminds us that His peace is different from anything the world can offer. It is steady, lasting and present even in the middle of the storm.

Whatever you’re carrying today, may you take a deep breath and rest in His promise: “My peace I give you.” 💙
