🎉📖 *A Special Qur'an Milestone at Imam Bukhari Centre* 📖🎉

We are delighted to share some wonderful news with our community.

Last week, by the grace and blessing of Allah, we celebrated the *first student to complete the memorization of the Qur'an* through the *Walk the Qur'an Full-Time Hifz Program*.

🤲 This is among the many blessings that Allah has bestowed upon *The Ahle Hadith Society of Canada – Imam Bukhari Centre*.

These beneficial programs have been established through Allah's aid first and foremost, and then through the generous support and contributions of all of you.

📚 *Walk the Qur'an Full-Time Hifz Program*
📖 *Qur'an Basics Program* (for girls and young boys)
🕌 *Qur'an Challenge Program* (for boys and men)

Through these programs, students of all ages have begun and continued their journey with the Book of Allah.

🌱 Some have learned to read the Qur'an.
🌱 Some have begun memorizing it.
🌱 Others have progressed through advanced levels of recitation and memorization.

📖 Allah ﷻ says:

﴿ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَاهُمُ ٱلْكِتَابَ يَتْلُونَهُۥ حَقَّ تِلَاوَتِهِۦٓ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦۗ وَمَن يَكْفُرْ بِهِۦ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَاسِرُونَ﴾

*"Those to whom We have given the Book recite it as it should be recited; they are the ones who truly believe in it. And whoever disbelieves in it—then it is they who are the losers."*
*(Al-Baqarah 2:121)*

🌹 Finally we want to congratulate their parents and teachers whose dedication, sacrifice, and sincere efforts helped these students reach such noble achievements.

🤲 We ask Allah to increase this centre in goodness, benefit, and success.

🤲 May Allah accept from everyone involved—whether their contribution was great or small.

Alhamdulillah, we are humbled and delighted to announce that — for the 4th consecutive year — the Faculty of Hadith of Toronto will be hosting its Summer Knowledge Program!

It is a great honour to welcome once again:

▪️ Former Professor, Dept. of Shariah — Taif University (Taif)

Abu Darda (رضي الله عنه) reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

‎*“وَإِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَة لَتَضَعُ أَجْنِحَتَهَا رِضًى لِطَالِبِ الْعِلْمِ”*

“Verily, the angels lower their wings in pleasure for the seeker of knowledge.”

The next session of our Monthly Hike Program and the study of 40 Ahadith on Islamic Personality - will take place this Saturday the 6th of June inshallah !

Assalaam alaikum Dear Brothers and Sisters

The day of Arafah is tomorrow and we wanted to remind everyone about its significance and importance.

The fasting of the day of ‘Arafah expiates two years:

Abu Qatadah narrated that the Messenger of Allah was asked about fasting the day of ‘Arafah, whereupon he said:

"It expiates the sins of the preceding year and the coming year." [Muslim]

Aa’ishah - may Allah be pleased with her - narrated that the Messenger of Allah said:

"There is no day when Allah sets free more slaves from Hell than the day of ‘Arafah. He draws near and then boasts of them to the angels and says: What do these want?" [Muslim]

The Messenger of Allah said:

“The best supplication is that of the day of ‘Arafah, and the best thing that I and other Prophets before me said, is, "La Ilaaha Illallah, wahdahu laa Shareeka lah. Lahul mulk wa lahul Hamd wa Huwa ‘alaa kull Shay’in Qadeer." (There is no god but Allah, the only true God, Who has no partner. To Him belongs the dominion (of the universe) and to Him all praises are due. And He has the power to do everything).” [At-Tirmithi; Al-Albani: good]

The Moon of Dhul Hijjah 1447

1st of Dhul Hijjah 1447 will be Monday the 18 of May 2026.

Alhumdulilla the moon for Dhul Hijjah was sighted and has been confirmed by the reports of sighting from the major, trustworthy Moon Sighting Committees in North America.

اللَّهُمَّ أَهِلَّهُ عَلَيْنَا بِالأَمْنِ وَالإِيمَانِ ، والسَّلامَةِ والإِسْلامِ ، وَالتَّوْفِيقِ لِمَا تُحِبُّ وَتَرْضَى ، رَبُّنَا وَرَبُّكَ اللهُ

O Allah, let the crescent loom above us in peace and faith, safety and Islam, and in agreement with all that You love and pleases You. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah

Therefore the Day of Arafah will be May 26th 2026

*Eid Al Adha will be on May 27th 2026!*

We will announce details of Salatul Eid in the days to come inshallah

Alhumdulilla for an excellent evening spent in discussing two huge topics that are crucial in this day:

- The Finality of Prophethood by Ustadh Muhammad Imtiaz (Australia)

- The Defense of the Sahaba and an introduction to the monumental work of Shah Abdul Aziz Ad Dehlawi “Tuhfa Ithna Ash’Ariyyah” by Ustadh Adnan Rashid

We would like to thank Ustadh Adnan Rashid for taking us through a history of the spread of the Ithna Ashari belief particularly in the Indian Subcontinent and the writing of this book which was such a strong rebuttal that 25 refutations have been attempted against it, unsuccessfully.

Alhumdulilla for a wonderful start to the monthly Hike program .

We began at the Masjid at Fajr with a review of the first Hadith in the series 40 Ahadith on the Islamic Personality

We then left to the trail and began our Hike. Benefitting from the beautiful outdoors and the first lesson in basic survival training

Jazakumullahukhairan to the brothers that came and taught this invaluable skill set

We continue next month inshallah
