Welcome to St George’s page. We believe that we are all God's children, created equal in God's likeness, and so we try to see the image of Christ in all those we meet. As we write in our weekly service bulletin, Whoever you are, and wherever you are in your journey of life, you are welcome in this place. Our goal at St George's is to make our worship Joyful and Relevant to our lives today.

Come celebrate 170 years of St. George’s Lowville — Milton’s Church on the Escarpment.

For generations, people have worshipped here, prayed here, laughed and grieved here, raised families, served their neighbours, and found friendship, faith, and belonging.

On Sunday, October 4 at 9:30 a.m., we’ll gather to give thanks for those who came before us, celebrate the community St. George’s is today, and look with hope toward what God is still building among us.

It feels especially fitting that, as we celebrate 170 years, restoration work has recently completed on the stones of our historic church — preserving this place for generations to come.

Because while we treasure our history, we believe this deeply:

God is not finished with St. George’s yet.

Worship will be followed by a BBQ and fellowship, and everyone is welcome.

Whether St. George’s is your church today, was once part of your story, or you’ve simply wondered about that beautiful stone church on the Escarpment, we’d love to see you.
