Weekend wrap up! We kicked off the Season of Creation with hiking church on Saturday and the Feast of the Creator on Sunday!

We sang some new music and some old hymns. We reflected on How Christ is at play within Creation.

We enter this Season holding onto an integrated discipleship, that the practical, the local, the ordinary, can be just as connected to the spiritual, the global, and the extraordinary. God can show up in it all, so where are you discovering God at work in creation this week?

We pray for all as they go back to school today and this week! For students, educators, administrators and support staff!

Gracious God, sustain all students, teachers and staff as they learn, teach, serve and grow together. Grant wisdom to those who guide, curiosity to those who learn and patience in times of challenge. Keep all who enter our schools safe, and help them to reflect your love in all they do. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

As we enter the Season of Creation, we are playing with a new format for our worship! Instead of the regular prayerbooks grab a liturgy booklet that we will use for the coming weeks to guide and introduce us to new liturgical materials for this season from the Anglican Church of Canada!

Meet us at the trailhead!
This Saturday September 5th, is our next hiking Church, as we kick off the Season of Creation. We gather at 10am at a local trailhead and head out for a 20-30min hike in quiet, reflecting on scripture and the world around us. And then celebrate communion in the woods, and return back sharing what we noticed.
We are open to all levels of experience of faith/spirituality and all levels of hikers (we try to go flat and slow without too many hills!).
We send out an email on Thursday Evening with the details and information (in case weather changes), so please send [email protected] a quick email if you are interested.
