Rev. Nichola Cumine

Rev. Nichola Cumine Welcome to my page! I am a progressive Anglican Priest & Rector with the Diocese of NS & PEI. She currently serves as Rector of St. Rev. The Rev'd.

The Rev'd Nichola (Nic) Cumine is an Anglican Priest with the Diocese of NS & PEI (May 30th, 2019). John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Middle Sackville. Nichola is often referred to as an "entrepreneurial priest" in our diocese. She is a progressive woman who loves mission and ecumenism, she is a member of the Connectors Two Cohort and a member of the Vital Church Maritimes (VCM) planning team

. Rev'd Nichola is an advocate for social justice, and her favourite stole reads: "Love God with all your heart, mind, body & soul" on one side and, "Love your neighbours: No exceptions" on the other. She would love if you would say "hi" when you see her out and about. Nichola is the founder of the WWP (Worship with Pride) Community, which she began in 2021. It was a childhood dream to have worship that celebrated the love of everyone. WWP seeks to be a safe and inclusive faith community for people of all gender identities, sexual orientations, marital status, family configuration, abilities, ages, races, ethnicities, faiths, and socio-economic circumstances, who will be encouraged to participate fully in all aspects of the life and work of our ministry, thereby enriching us all.

Happy New Year to my dear church family! ✨🙏
A new year is like a fresh page in a book already filled with God’s faithfulness. 📖 Looking back at 2025, I am so moved by the resilience, spirit, and love of this flock. You have been a light to me and to each other. 🕯️
Looking forward, I am filled with excitement for the new ways we will serve, learn, and lean on one another in 2026. 👣
Whatever this year holds, please remember that you do not walk the path alone. We walk it together—supported by this community and guided by a love that never fails. 🤝🕊️
May your homes be filled with laughter and your hearts with a peace that passes all understanding. Happy New Year! 🎆
Love, Rev. Nic

Loving God, surround Jamaica in your unlimited love as storm Melissa approaches. It subdues the furious winds, safeguards every home and protects every precious life. Be our firm refuge in the storm and our unwavering fortress afterwards.
In the name of Jesus, Amen.

📣 Message to Parishioners and Fellow Nova Scotians:
In these painful and uncertain times, our hearts are heavy. Families are suffering, animals are perishing, and the land we love is under threat. As we face this together, I offer this prayer to unite us in hope, strength, and compassion. Please share it with anyone who may need comfort today. Rev. Nichola Cumine💔🙏
🕊 A Prayer for Nova Scotia
God of mercy and strength,
We come to You with trembling hearts and tearful eyes.
Our communities are hurting. Our land is wounded.
We see destruction around us, and we feel helpless.
But we know You are near.
Wrap Your arms around every family, friend, and neighbour affected.
Guide the hands of those who serve and protect.
Bring peace to the frightened, healing to the broken, and courage to the weary.
Let Your love be the light in our darkest hour.
Let Your grace be the shelter we seek.
And let us be instruments of Your compassion,
United in faith, resilient in hope. Amen.
