Hello Church family!
We recently received a phone call from Operation Christmas Child, sharing their gratitude for the support our community continues to show this ministry. What a joy to be part of something that reaches children all over the world—even in hard-to-reach places—with the hope of the Gospel!
This ministry isn’t just supported by Melville Baptist Church, but by churches and community members all around us. It’s a beautiful picture of what can happen when people come together with a shared purpose. As many of you know, our church also serves as a drop-off location each year for these shoeboxes.
A very special thank you goes out to our brother Trevor, who faithfully serves as the ministry's local "coordinator." Trevor puts in countless volunteer hours—ordering boxes, organizing information across the community, and coordinating pick-ups to ensure everything gets where it needs to go. His quiet dedication makes a huge impact!
Samaritan’s Purse shared their hope that we will continue walking alongside them in this ministry—blessing children across the world and helping carry the Good News of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth, just as we are called to do in Acts 1:8.
If you’d like to see the official Samaritans Purse report from this past year’s shoebox mission, check it out here: https://www.samaritanspurse.ca/occ-special-report/
Thank you to everyone who plays a part in supporting this incredible ministry—and Trevor, thank you for serving so faithfully. May you feel the rich blessings of God as you continue to bless others faithfully!
