✨ Bound Together in Love ✨

“We owe each other.”

Rev. Worrall reminds us that we are bound together — through God, through Christ, and through the love we share with one another.

Paul writes, “Owe no one anything, except to love one another.”

And that love asks something of us.

When we love, we see the hurt of others, we empathize, and we respond. We stand with the targeted and marginalized. We refuse to remain silent in the face of injustice. We make room at the table.

As Rev. Worrall reminds us:

“We do not get to tell God who to love or who to accept.”

There is already enough division in our world. As the body of Christ, we are called to something different — radical love, hospitality, acceptance, and community.

💛 We are bound to each other, created by God to live as family, united through Christ.

The table is open to all.

May we always be mindful of the ties that bind us.

✨ Who Are We? ✨

When God called Moses, his response was one many of us can understand:

“Who am I?”

Moses felt inadequate, afraid, and unprepared. But God didn’t choose him because he was perfect. God simply promised:

“I will be with you.”

Our identity isn’t found only in our jobs, titles, or accomplishments. As children of God, we find our purpose in following Christ — loving our neighbours, showing compassion, seeking justice, offering hospitality, and serving others.

God meets ordinary people exactly where they are and helps them grow into who they are called to be.

So, who are we?

💛 Children of God, called to love and serve — with God beside us.

✨ Choosing Compassion in the Face of Chaos ✨

The story of Moses begins in a time of fear, oppression, and suspicion of the “other.” Yet in the midst of that chaos, courageous women chose life, compassion, and mercy.

Shiphrah and Puah refused Pharaoh’s cruel command. Moses’ mother risked everything to protect her child. His sister watched over him. And Pharaoh’s own daughter saw a vulnerable Hebrew baby and chose compassion over obedience to injustice.

Their story reminds us that faithfulness sometimes requires courageous action.

When fear creates division and the vulnerable are threatened, we are called to see the humanity in one another and respond as God does — with love, mercy, and grace.

💛 Wherever there are acts of compassion for the other, we see God.

God stands with the oppressed and continues to work through ordinary people willing to choose love, preserve life, and care for their neighbours.

In a world where fear can so easily create chaos, may we choose compassion.
