What Old Testament Laws do we have to follow? If any? What about those ceremonial laws? What about the civil laws or the dietary laws of the Old Testament? How should we, as believers, view those today? Are they entirely discarded? We must understand this to respond to any questions or concerns someone may bring you about Old Testament scripture. We've been learning about the dangers of Theological Triage, which is unfortunately so prevalent in our churches. As a result, several questions and challenges sometimes arise about Scripture's authority. Questions like: What do we do if Scripture appears to contradict itself? What if the Bible is unclear or doesn't explicitly address certain issues? It's these questions that have led to the theological triage. Theological Triage is a very dangerous spiritual foundation that many in the church are standing on. It's a very wrong perspective and does NOT promote unity in the Church. But there is a true BIBLICAL FRAMEWORK when it comes to Scripture that is as solid as a rock and which true believers must understand and hold fast to. This is the place to build upon in our spiritual understanding and walk with God. The underlying current in Theological Triage is, 'What is the minimum I must do as a believer to make God happy?' Rather, a true Biblical Framework says, 'How can I present myself best to the Father to hear the words, " Well done, good and faithful servant. You don't want to miss this message!!
Seek FIRST the Kingdom of God. And HIS Righteousness.
