What does the word “Angel” mean? It means Messenger. Angels played a key role in the Christmas story. Angels announced to Mary, Joseph, the shepherds and many others of the arrival of God’s son, Jesus.

Today the Sunday School kids made angels to remind us of the message of the true meaning of Christmas and the love we share with others.

It was a great day at the Cold Plate Luncheon!! The United Church of Canada celebrated 100 Years and we had a special cake along with picture displays. Thanks to Kyle Low for creating a birthday memory cake! The Grad Class of 2025 were also in attendance and we were pleased to honor them. Congratulations to the Grads!!! June 10 is the date that marks the 100 year Anniversary since the United Church of Canada was established. To mark the occasion Maryfield United Church will be having some special displays at their Cold Plate Luncheon on Thursday, June 5. Come out and enjoy a delicious meal and also take a walk down memory lane to remember some of the people who have been part of the United Church in Maryfield.
