Monday Meet-up: Studying Matthew 12:33-37

In the process of trying to figure out our hearts, we must first understand that without God, we are bad trees bearing bad fruit with bad hearts. BUT, if we receive the heart of God and everything we do flows from it, God will allow us to produce good fruit.

MATTERS OF THE HEART: HEART LANGUAGE

On Sunday, June 14th we received MATTERS OF THE HEART: HEART LANGUAGE. The second part of this series led by Pastor Q Wilson as God has lead him to examine his heart. As humans who were born in sin, and shaped in iniquity, our true nature is evil. However, as believers we have been given access to the heart of God, giving us the ability to love like God and be like Christ.

We can go through our entire lives without asking ourselves the question; is my heart like the one described in Matthew 12:33-37? Or is the heart that you have described like the one in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7? Don’t let another day pass without examining your heart.

MATTERS OF THE HEART: THE FIGHT

On Sunday, June 14th we received MATTERS OF THE HEART: THE FIGHT the first part of new series led by Pastor Q Wilson. As human beings made in the image of God, our nature is truly complex. In Jeremiah 17:9 the Bible says “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” This is a message for the ones who try and try to understand themselves and their hearts but can’t seem to find an answer on their own.

This word encourages us to seek direct dialogue with the Lord our God, and to fight for our hearts. Because if everything we do flows from our hearts, we must have the right hearts in God’s eyes. And do everything we can to protect them.
