Students of all ages are invited to bring their backpacks to church on Sunday, September 13, following Divine Liturgy, as we pray for God’s guidance, protection, and blessings throughout the year ahead. 💙

☦️ Holy Ancestors of God, Saints Joachim and Anna🤍

Today we honour Saints Joachim and Anna, the righteous parents of the Most Holy Theotokos and the grandparents of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Their lives are a beautiful example of faith, patience, trust in God, and unwavering love. Through years of prayer and perseverance, they were blessed with the birth of the Virgin Mary, through whom God’s plan for our salvation would unfold.

May Saints Joachim and Anna intercede for our families and teach us to remain faithful and patient in all things. 🙏🏼

Today, September 8, we celebrate the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos the birth of the one chosen to become the Mother of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. 🙏🏼💙

Through the birth of the Theotokos, we rejoice in the beginning of God’s plan for the salvation of mankind. May her prayers and intercessions always guide and protect us and our families.

Today, we joyfully celebrate the Dormition of our Most Holy Lady, the Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary 🌹☦️

On this blessed feast, we commemorate the falling asleep of the Mother of God and her passing from this earthly life into the eternal presence of her Son and our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

The Dormition is not a day of sorrow, but one filled with hope, love and the promise of eternal life. The Theotokos, who bore Christ—the Life of the world—is received by Him into everlasting life.

As we honour our Panagia today, may we look to her humility, obedience and unwavering faith as an example in our own lives, and may we continually seek her holy intercessions before her Son.

Υπεραγία Θεοτόκε, σώσον ἡμᾶς. 🙏🏼🌹
