Athena and Vince got married last weekend at Saints Panteleimon, Anna & Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church Sts. Panteleimon, Anna and Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church in Markham. There is something about photographing inside a church like this that you cannot replicate anywhere else. The architecture, and the light coming through the windows is so grand. You can feel how sacred it is, not just for the couple but for everyone in the room.

Greek Orthodox ceremonies are rich with ritual and symbolism. The crowning, the procession around the altar, the shared cup of wine. Every part of it means something. And as a photographer, that gives me so much to work with. I was not just capturing a ceremony. I was documenting something that has been passed down through generations.

Athena and Vince were stunning. The kind of couple that makes the whole room feel the love between them without trying.

☦ This past Sunday, we celebrated the Sunday of All Saints, honouring every saint who has shone forth in the Orthodox Church.

From the Apostles and Martyrs to the Ascetics, Hierarchs, Righteous Ones, and countless unknown saints whose lives were transformed by the grace of the Holy Spirit.

Through their faith, love, sacrifice, and holiness, they reveal what it means to become united with Christ.

May their prayers strengthen us as we strive toward holiness in our own lives.

All Saints, pray to God for us!

🌿🕊️ Monday of the Holy Spirit 🕊️🌿

Today, we celebrate the life-giving presence of the Holy Spirit, who guides, strengthens, and renews us in our faith. As we continue the joy of Pentecost, let us open our hearts to the grace, wisdom, and peace that the Holy Spirit pours upon us.

“Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love.”

May the Holy Spirit inspire us to live with faith, hope, and love in all that we do.
