Hello! Im Tijuana Versteeg but at campfire I go as Paws! When I’m at camp I’m Assistant Head Cook! When I’m not at camp I am an ACA (Animal Care Attendant) and I’m currently finishing up Pet Grooming School at Conestoga College. When I’m not at college you will probably find me with my parrot Keiko, or trying to make new recipes. I can’t wait to serve at Campfire again by feeding all the hungry campers. But I’m most excited to praise the Lord with everyone there.

Hey everyone! My name is Niobe Sikkema and I am glad to be serving as Head Cook at camp this summer!
At camp you can call me Cheers! since I'm a big believer in celebrating all of life's little triumphs and the greatest, constant triumph of our lives - that we belong to a loving God who died to save sinners. I am blessed to have education in the culinary arts, having finished my certificate program this past December, and am excited to use my experience and passion to keep hungry campers well-fed.
I love trying new things, getting lost in antique or thrift shops, and noticing God's majesty in both the subtle and grand moments in nature.
When packing for camp this summer, don't forget a hearty appetite!

Hey everyone! My name is Arie DeVries, but at camp you can call me Oro. I’m currently finishing up the second year of my undergrad at McMaster University, where I’m studying history. Outside of school, you can usually find me playing the piano, reading a book, or spending time with my family. This summer, I have the privilege of serving as one of two program directors, which means I’m in charge of planning and running the day-to-day activities at camp. I borrowed my camp name from a Latin verb meaning “I pray,” because that’s what it means to be involved with camp. As staff, volunteers, board, and members of the wider church community, we lift camp up to God in prayer each day to seek His blessing on all that goes on there, and His strength and Spirit for all those who are doing His work there. I’m looking forward to a great summer filled with singing, making friends, laughing, and praising God’s name.

Hi everyone! I’m Karlyn Wildeboer, but at camp you can call me Chica! I’m excited to be back for another summer as one of the two Program Directors, helping plan and run all the games and activities. I can’t wait to get the summer started and spend lots of time enjoying God’s creation while serving at Campfire. I’m currently busy studying Kinesiology at BrockU, which has been a blast, but I’m really looking forward to seeing many of you Camp. May Christ be glorified in all that we do this summer!

Hi! I’m Ella my camp name is Splashes, and I’m so excited for an awesome summer at camp. These days, I’m balancing school, spending time with friends, and staying active in my community when ever I can. Camp has always been a place where I can unplug, grow, and be fully present, so I can’t wait to be apart of camp as the assistant aquatics director. This summer, I’m looking forward to building meaningful connections, leading by example, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome and confident to be themselves. I’m especially excited for campfire nights, of course pool and beach time, and all the little moments that make camp unforgettable. See you at camp!

Hey everyone! My name is Chloe Broersma, but at camp I go by Pipsqueak! Pipsqueak is a name meaning small and insignificant. This reminds me that God can use all things (even the tiniest moments) to work for his good! This Summer I will be the Head Aquatic Director! This means I'll be hanging out during swim time, canoeing, beach day, rainy days, and all other water-related activities.
This year, I am working as a Youth Worker at Streetlight Ministries and as a program facilitator for the Boys and Girls Club of Hamilton!
I am so excited to see you at camp this Summer whether you are a camper, volunteer, or visitor! I pray that many relationships with God will grow this coming Summer!
