We are a ministry based out of Burnett Fellowship in Maple Ridge, BC for students in grades 7-12.

We want to gather the growing community of young adults together on October 23rd. What is a young adult? Let’s say grade 12 - 30 years. Single, dating, married, young kids - we’re open for it all! This Halloween, Burnett Kids is hosting a Trunk or Treat! The event will be on October 31st from 5-7PM, and we need YOUR help! We need some friends who are willing to offer up their car trunks with candy! You can decorate it if you would like or keep it as is; just fill it with candy and the kids will be happy!

Bring your family to trick or treat, have the kids costumes handled by our professional face painter, and enjoy some hot chocolate and hot dogs while you have your trunk open! There will be lots of fun for the whole family!

Please register your car/ trunk by no later than October 23rd, so we can have an idea of how many trunks we have for the event! The more the better!

Today we remember, listen, reflect, and pursue reconciliation. Today we honour the children who did not return home from residential schools and to the survivors. We pray for and seek truth and reconciliation, not only today but moving forward into the future.

Hey Burnett Youth! Youth is on tonight at 7pm! And here is what we are chatting about: Have you ever found yourself changing because of how someone you like or admire influenced you? Maybe it was finally watching that show your friend wouldn't stop talking about or trying a weird new fashion trend after someone at school tried it first. The people around us influence what we do. If that has ever happened to you, congratulations! You know what a catalyst is. It's the person who influenced you to make a change. These kinds of catalysts exist when it comes to our faith too. In the book of Hebrews, we get a long, long list of people who are heroes of faith. They're the people who went before us and showed us what faith can look like. Scripture is full of the stories like theirs, but Scripture isn't the only place we can find catalysts like these people. They're around us even now, if we know where to look! Because the faith of others can be a catalyst on our journeys

Alright, it's time to plan a trip to the thrift store to find your formal wear for our year-end party.

Will you go with some good 70's retro vibes, or maybe mismatch 80's neon or some bad 90's wedding attire? Or do you have the perfect formal wear already hanging in your closest?

Whatever it is put it on and join us! We'll be celebrating this year of youth, eating some yummy food (come hungry) and of course, we'll be going swimming (so pack a swimsuit and towel).

*We are hoping to get a great picture of everyone who's up for jumping into the pool with their frugal formal wear!
