St. Luke’s Pembina Crossing Anglican Church is excited to announce the launch of our NEW website! We would like to express our appreciation to the Pembina Manitou Area Foundation for the generous grant we received, which enabled us to put our plans for a website into motion.

St. Luke’s, nestled in the hills of the Pembina Valley south of Manitou, is a serene precious spot in Southern Manitoba with a rich history. Anglican services have been held here since 1884.

An online presence will give us opportunity to reach those in our community and beyond, and tell our story. Visitors to the website can learn of our history, upcoming services, and if you are doing some genealogical research, you will be able to view the complete headstone gallery.

***JOIN US FOR ROGATION SERVICE TOMORROW!

***MARK YOUR CALENDARS!***

You are cordially invited to Rogation Service, which is scheduled for Sunday, June 9th at St. Luke’s Pembina Crossing Church, 11am.

All denominations welcome!

Free BBQ lunch. RSVP for lunch to Lindy Sharpe 204-242-4287 or [email protected]. Live music, farm animals, agri-equipment display. Bring a lawn chair. Call if you have questions!

What is Rogation you ask?

Rogation comes from the Latin word, ‘Rogare’, meaning ‘to ask’. At Rogationtide we ask for God’s blessing on the activity of the land. Rogation falls in spring, the time of emerging crops and young animals. In the church calendar it sits between Easter and Ascension. Rogation offers a joyful link between the new life, renewal and resurrection in the natural world and the Christian Church.

This service will be the official launch of the 2024 Grow Hope Program.
