Happy Easter to all our Western Christians who celebrate today! Christ is risen!

Exult, let them exult, the hosts of heaven. Exult, let angel
ministers of God exult. Let the trumpet of salvation sound aloud
our mighty King's triumph. Be glad, let earth be glad, as glory
floods her, ablaze with light from her eternal King!

So often this Glory is visible at the Refuge: In beauty of nature and in the people who come here, especially the poor and lowly. We try to listen to those who bear the good news of our salvation, like Mary Magdalene did. Happy Easter!

Happy Feast of St Mary of Egypt everyone! Today we celebrate out Refuge's patroness. We ask for her prayers in leading to becoming all we can be for the sake of the Kingdom. And we look to her life in showing the holiness, joy and possibilities of the Kingdom of God. And so we can say:

Having been a sinful woman, you became a Bride of
Christ through repentance. Having attained the
angelic life, you defeated demons by the weapon of
the Cross; therefore, O most glorious Mary you are a
