Our hearts are broken by the shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School, in British Columbia. We hold all the community of Tumbler Ridge in our prayers, especially those killed, and surround their loved ones, classmates, and community with God's compassion. We pray urgently for the wounded, for those who care for them, and for the first responders and witness carrying the weight of this tragedy.

In this time of shock and sorrow, may we renew our commitment to a world where such violence never takes place. Please join us in praying for healing, courage, and peace.

A Prayer with the Community of Tumbler Ridge, BC

Providing God,
With people across the country and around the world,
we seek your care as we bear witness to the mass shooting in the community of Tumbler Ridge.
Provide solace for all affected.
Provide comfort to those overwhelmed by grief.
Provide compassionate strength to those who are providing support to the broken-hearted.

Providing God,
guide us, as we continue to the build the world you have imagined:
A world where a child's right to learn, laugh, love and live is cherished and protected in every village – everywhere;
A world without violence;
A world where the most vulnerable among us feel safe, cherished and protected, always.

For the sake of Christ who entrusted us to each other,
may it be so.
Amen.

It's February and our Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper ( Feb 17, 4:30-6pm) is fast approaching!
If you can help with either a donation of the following or your time and talents, we would greatly appreciate it!
We are in need of: -
Workers
4-5 pm
Kitchen ( mix batter, flip and serve pancakes, wash dishes) - 2 people

5-6 pm
kitchen ( flip and serve, dishes, clean up)- 4 people
Dining area- ( manage drink tables, remove dishes) - 2 people

Please let me know what you would like to do and I will update the list. Any excess unopened product will be donated to CRC.
