The ultimate test of faith is not how loudly you praise God in happy times but how deeply you trust him in dark times - Rick Warren
The patriarchs of faith have made us to understand that God is reliable, dependable, trustworthy and faithful from the ages past. Our personal encounters with God confirms this daily. He’s all sufficient and His promises are yeah and amen. God’s wishes for His children is that they live the life of abundance.
Notwithstanding this, we can only realize this by our faith in God. Faith is the bastion for our survival. In Hebrews 11:6, it is made clear that without it we cannot please the Father. In essence, everything we are as Christians is honed on the mystery of faith.
However, our faith in God can be tested. The faith of every believer can only be proven to be genuine when tested. The anchor scripture in James 1:2-3 encourages us to count it all joy when we fall into diverse test. God does not tempt but can test your faith in Him (James 1:13). He tested Job and Abraham, etc.
Life will only test you before it will bless you. The test of the believer could be in sickness, failure, disappointment, etc. Sometimes the promises of God is captured in your trial and test. Don’t get fainted in the day of adversity. Our test is just a shadow and a light affliction which is for a moment (1 Corinthians 4:17 & Psalm 23:4). How you survive your test of faith and adversity reveals the level of your wisdom and maturity. In trials, we must learn to remain thankful to God, praising Him, maintaining an attitude of prayer, hearing the word of God through fellowshipping together, and surrounding oneself with positive mindful people.
PRAYER: Lord Jesus, please I need your grace. I need your mercies to understand when I'm in a test of my faith.
