Ephesians 4:25–32 calls us to put away the old life and replace it with truth, self-control, honest work, encouraging words, kindness, and forgiveness. This transformation happens not by trying harder, but by fixing our eyes on Jesus. 👀

Many people see Christianity as a list of rules, but Paul reminds us that the Christian life is about knowing Christ Himself. As we learn Christ, our minds are renewed, our old way of life is put off, and we walk in the new life God has created for us. Transformation is not the result of trying harder, but of abiding in Christ and living out who we already are in Him. ✨

Last Sunday, Pastor Ramon left us this point to ponder: “Christ gives gifts to equip, to do His work, and to build up the Church.” 🙌

The Spiritual gift you received doesn’t exist only for you, it exists for the benefit of everyone around you.

As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. - Ephesians 4:16b

Last Sunday, Bro. Eric Meredith walked us through Ephesians 4:1–10, showing us that the word “THEREFORE” carries the weight of everything God has already done in Ephesians 1–3. God has chosen us, redeemed us, sealed us with His Spirit, made us alive in Christ, reconciled us to Himself and to one another, and made the church the display of His wisdom.

Because of that, Paul’s call to “walk worthy” is not a demand to earn God’s acceptance. It is a call to live out the identity we have already received in Christ. We do not walk worthy in order to be called; we walk worthy because we have already been called by grace.

One of the most powerful reminders from the message was that spiritual fruit is not produced by religious performance or human striving. The fruit of the Spirit grows from a life connected to Christ. An apple tree does not strain to produce apples, and a branch does not bear fruit by trying harder. It bears fruit because it is alive and connected to the vine.

Too often, we try to look spiritual by "stapling apples" onto our lives. We attach outward appearances of patience, kindness, humility, or love while neglecting the life of Christ within. From a distance it may look real, but true spiritual fruit cannot be manufactured or held on by effort alone. Real fruit grows naturally from a heart transformed by the Spirit of God.

We were challenged to stop focusing on the apples and start focusing on the connection. When we remain in Him, the Spirit produces in us the very character that God desires.

The message also encouraged us to:

✅ Walk in humility because Christ humbled Himself for us.
✅ Bear with one another in love and guard the unity of the Spirit.
✅ Use the gifts and grace Christ has given to each believer.
✅ Walk together as one body while celebrating the unique grace given to each member.
✅ Trust God's work in us, remembering that fruit grows in seasons, not overnight.

May we remember that the Christian life is not about producing something for God, but about abiding in Christ and allowing His life to flow through us. 🙏

Last Sunday, Pastor Gary continued our expository preaching series of Ephesians, leading us into Paul's Powerful Prayer, a prayer that ascends like a staircase, revealing God's desire for every believer.

4 Steps of Paul's Prayer:

1. STRENGTH (Ephesians 3:16)
True strength is found in God alone. Rely on His strength, not your own.

2. LOVE (Ephesians 3:17)
Be rooted and grounded in Christ's love. It is the foundation of our spiritual growth. This calls for intentional practice that strengthen faith and love that nurtures our relationship with the Lord.

3. KNOWLEDGE (Ephesians 3:19)
Grow beyond knowing about Christ, experience His love personally. As Christians, we should be growing spiritually so we can GO.

4. FULLNESS (Ephesians 3:19)
God desires that we be filled with all His fullness.

Paul prays for the Ephesians to be strengthened by the spirit and rooted and grounded in love. He prays for them to grow in knowledge of the multiple dimensions Christ's love for us and prays for that knowledge to result in being filled with all the fullness of God. This goes for us as well.

Last Sunday, we continued our expository preaching series on Ephesians. Pastor Ramon shared this powerful truth: "God revealed His plan, purpose, and promises to us. Our response is to make Him known." 🙌

Key Points:

1. God's Mystery Plan Revealed

Based on Ephesians 3:6, the plan that was revealed to Paul in verses 1-3 was that both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children. Both are part of the same body, and both enjoy the promise of blessings because they belong to Christ Jesus.

"Unity in the body of Christ, truly reflects our relationship with Christ."

"What if your greatest challenge is the very thing that leads you to God's plan?"

2. God's Mystery Purpose Revealed

God graciously entrusted Paul with the ministry of making Christ known. With humility, he recognized that this calling was not about himself, but about proclaiming the boundless riches of Christ.

📖 " But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God." (Acts 20:24)

When we grow in the knowledge of Christ (Ephesians 1:17–19), we begin to understand that our lives are not for our own glory, but for faithfully fulfilling God's purpose.

3. God's Mystery Promise Revealed

In Christ, God's promises are fulfilled, and through Him, all people are invited into His family. "Both Gentiles and Jews who believe the Good News share equally in the riches inherited by God’s children..."

As believers, we are called to actively participate in God's mission by sharing the Gospel in our daily lives.

In Christ, God's mystery plan, purpose, and promises have been revealed to us. Now, let us make Him known. 🙌

Last Sunday, Sis Nels shared a powerful message, "One in Christ," from Ephesians 2:11–22.

We were reminded of the incredible journey from being separated from God to being fully reconciled through Christ. Paul paints a beautiful picture of how Jesus broke down every wall of division, making us one in Him.

1. At that time - we were separated, without hope, and without God.

2. But now - through the blood of Christ, we have been brought near. Jesus is our peace, reconciling us to God and to one another.

3. So then - because we are one in Christ, we now have a new citizenship, a new family, a new foundation, a new purpose, and a new privilege as God's people.

Key Takeaway: Ephesians 2:11–22 challenges us to look back with humility, look up with gratitude, and look forward with purpose, living as people who were once far away but are now forever God's own.

Question to ponder: If Christ has opened the way to God, have I responded to His invitation, and do I truly belong to God's family?
