This Sunday is Sundae Sunday!! Join us for our Sunday School Kick Off. Renee, our new director of children and youth and Lydia, our new nursery attendant have been busy organizing, painting, cleaning so that we are ready. A new children's program and a staffed nursery. Hope you can join us!

Our new Youth Group year is about to begin! Don't forget to join us on September 27th. All youth in grades 8 and up, as well as young adults, are invited to join us!

Thanks so much to everyone who helped this morning with a clean up day in the nursery and kids sunday school rooms. We filled a 10ft UHaul with old broken and ripped furniture and toys and took a trip to the landfill. A few people fill the cars and took some other stuff to donate.
We also got a great donation of some nursery items that are perfect for us from a daycare program that is shutting down.
The nursery and Sunday School rooms are going to look amazing for our Sundae Sunday on September 13th!!

So what's happening today at Kid's Camp? We have learned about heroes all week. World heroes like Viola Desmond or Malala, meeting local heroes like fireman and people who bring medical care to the unhoused. We learned about heroes of the faith like young King David, Queen Esther, and the boy who offered his lunch to Jesus to feed a multitude. Today, we end with ourselves. How are WE able to be heroes for others? We can speak for justice and work to build a more loving world that reflects God's intention for us.

Whats happening today at Kids Camp? We are learning about Queen Esther, who dared to speak for her people in order to spare them from danger. Talking about kind actions and showing love are great but they are easy. The harder part of being a hero is saying something that may be unpopular but needs to be said. Standing up for others may be risky but that's an important part of doing the right thing!

How are you spending your week? Its Kids Camp week 1. All day, all week we have 30 kids learning about everyday heroes. World heroes, community heroes and faith heroes.
Today we learned about Mulala, Ghandi, Harriet Tubman, Viola Desmond and more!
