The world offers many things that promise satisfaction, but nothing can fill the deepest hunger of our souls except Jesus Christ.

We have all sinned and need a Saviour. Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and rose again, offering forgiveness and eternal life to all who repent and put their faith in Him.

Don’t keep searching for what only Christ can give. Come to Jesus, believe in Him, and find the lasting satisfaction your soul needs.

God’s Word is not meant to be something we hear on Sunday and leave behind for the rest of the week. It should shape our thoughts, guide our words, and transform how we live each day.

As believers, we are called to grow together in the truth of Scripture, teaching and encouraging one another with wisdom and love. Through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, we can remind one another of God’s faithfulness and lift our hearts in grateful worship.

When God’s Word fills our hearts, it overflows into our conversations, our relationships, and our witness to the world around us.

Are you allowing the Word of Christ to dwell richly in you—and sharing its truth with those around you?

Let’s be a people who treasure God’s Word, build one another up in faith, and live with hearts full of thankfulness to Him!

This Pastor Appreciation Month, we thank God for Pastor Rick Dressler, at Maple City Baptist Church in Chatham, ON, and his faithful commitment to preaching God’s Word and exalting Jesus Christ.

In 2001, Rick and his wife, Kim, trusted the Lord’s leading to move their family to Canada and pastor a struggling church of just 23 people. Through years of faithful biblical preaching and a steadfast commitment to the gospel, God has grown the church both spiritually and physically.

Rick believes the gospel is not only essential for unbelievers but is central to the entire Christian life. Each Sunday, he faithfully proclaims this life-changing message, pointing people to Christ.

Join us in thanking God for Rick and his family and pray for their continued faithfulness as they serve the Lord and lead His church!

This Thanksgiving let us remember that our greatest reason for gratitude is not simply what God has given us, but who He is! He is good, His steadfast love never fails, and He alone is worthy of our praise.

May our hearts overflow with thanksgiving, our lips proclaim His goodness, and our lives reflect His glory!

Happy Thanksgiving from The Cross Current! 🍂
