Today, the London Centre of Hope joined fellow Salvation Army leaders across London, Ontario, in celebrating National Doughnut Day.

Together with Balboni’s Donut Shop, our generous Doughnut Day sponsor, we shared doughnuts with community partners throughout the city as a small gesture of appreciation and connection.

More than a sweet treat, National Doughnut Day honours The Salvation Army's historic Doughnut Lassies, who brought comfort and encouragement to soldiers during the First World War. Their legacy of service continues to inspire our work today.

Today we celebrate the legacy of The Salvation Army's Doughnut Lassies, who brought comfort and encouragement to soldiers during the First World War.

Their spirit of compassion lives on through the work of our staff and volunteers every day.

A few years ago, Courtney turned to The Salvation Army for support while raising her daughter and navigating financial hardship. Today, she’s giving back by helping other families access food and essential resources.

You can help support the next Courtney by donating much-needed essentials such as non-perishable food, hygiene products, baby items, and household necessities.

Every donation helps bring hope, stability, and dignity to families in need.
