This year Talbot Street Church is celebrating its 75th anniversary! 🎉 As part of the celebration, we've created a video storytelling project called "Dear Talbot Street Church" to showcase the people who make up our community and the stories of how God has been at work in and through us.

This is Rachel's letter.

"Did you know that the human cellular mass turns over approximately every seven years? That means the person that I was seven years ago, physically, isn’t the same person I am today. And yet, I’m still me. The essence of what makes me me is still present even as my physical make up isn’t. And maybe that’s like you too, Talbot Street Church. You’re not the same church that welcomed me at 20 days old, and yet, you are. You’re still Talbot Street Church because the essence of who you are at the centre is the same. And that centre is Jesus." - Rachel

Mid-Week Reminder: The Holy Spirit makes his home in us and helps us make our home in God so that we might grow to become more like Jesus. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, we become increasingly united with God - our heart, our desires and our lives become more aligned with His.

Mid-Week Reminder: Like Peter, we can step out onto the waves - not because the storm is gone, but because Jesus is already there and is ready to reach out his hand when we sink. Sometimes Jesus calms the storm and sometimes Jesus calms us in the midst of the storm. Either way, his presence changes everything.

Mid-Week Reminder: Living out the good news of salvation in Jesus Christ invites us to engage with creation in restorative ways. As people of the resurrection, we are invited to live in ways that reflect God's resurrection power for us, for others, and for all creation!

This is Grace's letter.

"Faith is all about trust. In this difficult season, I have been learning to put 100% of my trust in God - knowing that I’m in God’s hands. He will take care of me. This doesn’t necessarily mean that I get the answer I want, but I trust that my path is set and God is at the end of it and he’s going to greet me." - Grace

Sunday was Creation Care Sunday and we were invited to participate in God's Great Restoration Project by caring for all of creation. God invites us to be co-labourers and co-creators in the work of restoring and redeeming this beautiful world we call home! Check out Tora's message from yesterday morning if you missed it.

As followers of Jesus, we believe that creation care is one way that we participate in God’s project to restore all things. This Sunday we're celebrating Creation Care Sunday! As followers of Jesus, we believe that creation care is one way that we participate in God’s project to restore all things. Last Sunday we demonstrated this by joining the London Clean & Green initiative and picking up garbage that had accummulated in our neighbourhood so we can help it thrive. This Sunday we proclaim that caring for God's creation is not only a responsibility, but an act of worship. In caring for this beautiful place that God has created, we honour Him and declare that the whole world, everything in it, and everyone who lives here, belongs to God. See you at 10 AM on Sunday morning!

A good gardener intentionally plants seeds where they want to see growth. They cultivate the soil, plant the seeds and then allow the sun & rain to do their work. In the same way, followers of Jesus are invited to "sow seeds to the Spirit"; planting seeds in the ground of your soul where God can work with you and transform you. Over time, as you engage in spiritual disciplines that sow to the Spirit, God promises that he will be faithful to grow something in you; a harvest of righteousness and peace. What would it look like for you to plant one seed this week?
