A HOLY WEEK INVITATION. Palm Sunday, March 29th, marks the beginning of this year’s Holy Week. This is a time of deep reflection, prayer, and marking the conclusion of the Lenten journey, as we call to mind the unconditional love of Jesus who gave his life for us. The Parish of HTSSM invites you to enter into this week as fully as you can, by making time to worship, and to make this a sacred time in which we proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes again. Join Rev. Jordan Murray as you grow your relationship with Jesus Christ with each new day being an opportunity to experience the joy and peace that are possible because of Him.

Faith communities across London are working to expand consistent overnight warming centres throughout the winter months.

An overnight warming centre will open next week at a south London church, providing at least 30 people a place to rest and respite from the frigid cold.

Extreme Cold Emergency

We are deeply concerned for our unhoused neighbours. Over the next several nights, temperatures are expected to drop below –31°C, creating life-threatening conditions for anyone without shelter.

There are simply not enough spaces available in the city to safely welcome everyone who is on our streets.

St. Paul’s Cathedral will open as an Emergency Warming Centre

Today we celebrated the first Sunday of Advent and the community crafted our advent wreath together!

Is it a little haphazard? Sure!

Are we going to have to watch it carefully, keeping it watered and trimmed so it doesn’t go up in flame? 🔥Absolutely!

Is it beautiful? Without a doubt!

We created this wreath in community, as we wait in community, for the coming of our Lord.
